Hong Kong Observatory (HKO); English: The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) is a department under the Bureau of Commerce and Economic Development (formerly the Economic Development and Labour Bureau) and a member of the World Meteorological Organization. It is responsible for meteorological observation, earthquake, timing, astronomy and radiation monitoring in Hong Kong, and issues relevant warnings to the public in Hong Kong. The current director of the Observatory is Cen Zhiming.
