A bus exploded in Jinan, Shandong Province. Is the explosion related to the hot weather?

On the afternoon of August 7, a bus traveling on Xiaoqing River North Road in Jinan exploded. An eyewitness said that the explosion vehicle was suspected to be a bus. A nearby steamed stuffed bun shop was affected by the explosion, and the shop was seriously damaged. The glass on the residential building around the explosion was shattered. A nearby resident said that his bedroom, kitchen and other glass were blown to pieces and he had to go out for a temporary stay recently.

It is reported that there was only one driver in the car when the explosion occurred, and he had jumped out of the car and fled. Witnesses at the scene said that the driver's hair was burnt. After the explosion, many passers-by along the street were also affected and many people were slightly injured.

A shop owner nearby said that he was in the store when the incident occurred and heard two loud noises, and the glass of the shop along the street was shattered. Another witness at the scene said that she first heard a loud noise. After rushing out, she found that the glass, parts and car shell on the ground were spilled all over the floor, and the bus caught fire. Among them, Ms. Lu's steamed stuffed bun shop is one of the shops closest to the explosion site. She told reporters that fortunately, there was no one in the store when the explosion occurred, but the doors, windows and exhaust fans of the store were damaged by the explosion, and the store also had a power outage.

Subsequently, according to the news of Huaiyin District Emergency Management Bureau of Jinan City, on August 7 14, the driver of a long-distance passenger bus of Shandong Jiaoyun Group with the license plate number Lu AH0288 drove an empty car without passengers to the car wash shop and drove to Xiaoqinghe North Road, Xinsha Village, Miri, Malaysia, Malay Lake. It was initially judged that the device in the car had failed, causing the driver to be injured. At present, many people on the roadside were slightly scratched by glass due to explosion impact. The exact cause of the accident is under further investigation.

It is reported that as of now, the wounded are not life-threatening. After the incident, the local public security, transportation, publicity and other departments rushed to the scene at the first time.
