Hanjiang River is the largest river in eastern Guangdong, with two sources: Meijiang River and Tingjiang River.

Meijiang originated in Qixing Village at the junction of Zijin County and Luhe County in Guangdong Province, and Tingjiang originated in Muma Mountain in Ninghua County, Fujian Province. After the confluence of the two rivers in the Three Rivers, it is called the Han River, which obliquely runs through the area from northwest to southeast. There are many tributaries, including Fenghuang River, Wenci Water, Qiuxi River, Luotian Lake, Shibei Water, Jinsha River, Molten Iron, Kanxia Lake, Jiangdong Water and Anbaili Water.

The rainwater collection area is more than 400 square kilometers. In the south of Chaozhou, Hanjiang River is divided into Dongxi, Xixi and Beixi, which flows through Chaoan District of Chaozhou and then enters the sea in Chenghai District of Shantou City. The total length of this area is 96 kilometers.

Rongjiang river system

Xishan Mountain is located in the west of this area, and flows through Dengtang Town, Gu Xiang Town, Fengxi Town and Feng Tang Town. The tributaries are Chen Gaoshui, Shi Tianshui, Baimangzhou Water, Maple Member Water, Kounongxi and Yokota Water. There are also streams in the suburbs of Chaozhou and Fuyang, which flow into the Rongjiang North River at the outlet of Jiedong District. The total length is 7 1 km, and the rainwater collection area is 664 square kilometers, with 40 km and 364 square kilometers in Chaoan.

Zhonglixi

Inland marine areas flow into the sea alone. It flows through Jinshi, Shaxi, Caitang, Anbu and other towns in the area, flows into Rongjiang in the west along with the terrain, flows through Puzhen in Shantou City in the south, and is discharged from Shantou Port. Zhonglixi River forms an internal and external river network with artificial irrigation and drainage channels and natural streams from North Korea on the alluvial plain in the west of Han River.

Sanlixi

The earliest irrigation and drainage shipping project in Chaoshan area. It starts from the south gate culvert on the west bank of Hanjiang River in the south of Chaozhou City, bypasses the west of Chaozhou City, and flows into Rongjiang River through Fengxi and Feng Tang. The first section of Chao 'an was excavated in the Northern Song Dynasty, with a length of 5.5 kilometers. Because it is beneficial to drainage, irrigation and transportation, it is called Li Sanhe. In addition, it is said that the artificial river is connected with Xishan River, benefiting Haiyang, Jieyang and Chaoyang counties, also known as Li Sanxi. With the appearance of irrigation project from Beiguan to North Korea and the development of urban construction, sewage culverts have been built in Xiangqiao District. Chaoan District belongs to subtropical maritime monsoon climate. Main features:

(1) Rainfall is abundant, but unevenly distributed. The annual average rainfall reaches 65,438+688.3mm, accounting for 84% of the annual rainfall from April to September, and only 65,438+06% from June to March. The annual rainfall peaks in early June.
