Weiyuan County is located in the middle of Gansu Province, in the middle and west of Dingxi City. It is 0/74km away from Lanzhou, the provincial capital, and 55km away from Longxi Station of Longhai Railway. Its geographical coordinates are10402 ′ ~10449 ′ east longitude and 33 26 ′ ~ 35 07 ′ north latitude, with a total area of 2066.
