What district is the center of Shantou?

Shantou is located in the east of Guangdong Province, at the southern end of Hanjiang Delta. It has always been an important transportation hub, import and export shore and commodity distribution center in eastern Guangdong, southern Jiangxi and southwestern Fujian. Known as "the gateway of Lingdong and the hub of South China", it is the earliest special economic zone in China, one of the five special economic zones in China, an important port city in the south, an open coastal city, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and a central city in eastern Guangdong.

Longhu district is the birthplace of Shantou Special Economic Zone and the central city of Shantou. Shantou is mild and humid, with plenty of sunshine and rain, a long frost-free period and wet and rainy spring. In early summer, the temperature rises and changes, and there are often heavy rains; Although it is hot in midsummer, it is often hit by typhoons. Autumn is cool and dry, the weather is sunny, and the temperature drops obviously; There is no severe cold in winter, but it is cold for a short time.

Shantou has 2000 ~ 2500 hours of sunshine all year round, with the shortest sunshine in March. The annual rainfall is 1300 ~ 1800 mm, mostly from April to September. The annual average temperature is 18℃ ~ 22℃, and the minimum temperature is above 0℃. The highest temperature is 35℃ ~ 38℃, which is controlled by the Pacific subtropical high, and mostly occurs from mid-July to early August. There are occasional short-term frosts in winter.
