The terrain is higher than that of neighboring counties, and it is known as "Xuanwoling" in history. Mountains, basins and valleys alternate with each other and extend in a "multi" shape. The central part is a north-south fault zone, and the county seat is located in Huayang fault basin in the south-central part of the fault zone. Qingliangfeng is located at the eastern end of the county, bordering Anhui and Zhejiang provinces, and its peak and north slope are located in the territory. The central part is uplifted in the east-west direction, and the streams are divided into north and south, which flow into Qiantang River and Yangtze River respectively.
