What gas is used for gas cutting?

Mainly oxygen and acetylene are best used.

Because only acetylene gas has the highest heat and the least oxygen.

Because the combustible gas is mixed with oxygen in the mixing tube of the cutting torch.

Acetylene is the most oxygen-saving because of its high heat.

Nowadays, many people start to use liquefied gas, which actually doesn't save much money, because it consumes more oxygen than acetylene.

Moreover, the heat of this gas is not high.

Another combustible gas is propane gas.

This gas is not as easy to release as liquefied gas in winter, but the heat is not as high as liquefied gas and it is more expensive.
