Early warning color classification
This is stipulated in the Trial Measures for Issuing Early Warning Signals of Sudden Meteorological Disasters issued by China Meteorological Bureau on August 16, 2004. Each color represents a different degree of early warning, which is easy to distinguish. Meteorological early warning signal is upgraded on the basis of forecasting and warning disasters, and it is the early warning information released to the public by meteorological offices and stations affiliated to competent meteorological departments at all levels.
Early warning signals are composed of names, icons, standards and defense guidelines, which are divided into typhoon, rainstorm, blizzard, cold wave, gale, sandstorm, high temperature, drought, lightning, hail, frost, fog, haze, road icing and so on. According to the urgency, development trend and possible harm degree of the incident, it is divided into: level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4, which are indicated by red and orange respectively.
Meteorological early warning signal
There are tens of thousands of meteorological observation stations on the earth, distributed on land and at sea. They are observing the atmospheric conditions of the earth all the time, such as atmospheric temperature, pressure, humidity, wind direction, wind power, atmospheric visibility, transmittance and so on. The observed data are transmitted to a large computer through the network for calculation and solved by the weather evolution equation. These "calculated" data are summarized to forecasters, who make weather forecasts in different periods through comprehensive analysis.
Meteorological observation station is an automatic weather station, which is convenient to use and simple to operate. Moreover, it is a fully automatic weather station with low power consumption. It is powered by dry battery (communication mode: USB field data retrieval). The weather station has the function of power-off data protection. Whether it is to save manpower or measure meteorological data in remote areas, it can use solar power supply mode and GPRS wireless remote transmission.
