Geographical climate of Taicang Economic Development Zone

Taicang belongs to the plain along the Yangtze River in the Yangtze River Delta Plain, with a flat geology and a slight inclination from northeast to southwest. The eastern part is the plain along the river, and the western part is the low-lying polder area. Ground elevation: 3.5-5.8m in the east (datum: Wu Song zero) and 2.4-3.8m in the west. The total area of the whole territory is 822.926 square kilometers, of which the water area of the Yangtze River is 173.89 square kilometers.

Taicang belongs to the humid climate zone in the southern part of the north subtropical zone, with four distinct seasons.
