Gunga weather

Going to Tibet is the dream of many people, and traveling to Tibet with children is the dream of most parents. I'm here to cheer you up. This dream is not difficult to realize (this time my children and I stayed in Tibetan areas for 40 days).

At present, the traffic conditions in Tibet have been greatly improved. As far as I know, after the construction in recent years, there are five airports in Tibet (Lhasa Gongga, Qamdo Banda, Linzhi Milin, Ali Kunsha and Xigaze Heping). Needless to say, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (now the railway from Lhasa to Shigatse is under construction), and the highway conditions have also been greatly improved. Among them, the Qinghai-Tibet Highway is the best one. As for Tibet, from east to west, from Qamdo to Lhasa to Shigatse, and even to Ali, it is also an asphalt road (due to geological conditions, the natural barrier section of Tongmai is still a dirt road, but it is also much wider than before).

So for most people who want to go to Tibet, these conditions are enough, and it is no longer an unreachable dream to take their children.

The only thing to worry about is the rising opposition.

First, overcome fear and rebellion.

When you get to the plateau, everyone will have a high reaction, but the degree is different. If you pay attention to adjustment, most people will just have a headache (the degree of headache is different). About how to prevent and face the high rebellion, I have already talked about it in "Matters needing attention in taking children to the plateau", so I won't repeat it here.

What needs to be emphasized is that children's activities must be controlled, and children should always be reminded not to get too excited, not to shout, not to run around, especially when they first go to the plateau, and not to go shopping too much.

Due to the lack of oxygen in the plateau, if the physical strength is too high, the physical strength will not be replenished, the resistance will drop, and it is easy to react and catch a cold (a mother and son, a 6-year-old boy who met in Lhasa, have been hiking in the rain collapse. I didn't go anywhere after I arrived in Lhasa. I'm just looking around the city. Maybe I didn't have a good rest and wandered too much. Results On the third night, the child coughed a little, went to the hospital for examination, and was hospitalized with mild pulmonary edema. He left Tibet after he was discharged from hospital.

Of course, if the child adapts, the restrictions can be relaxed appropriately. Yuner is still jumping rubber bands with children in Lhasa.

Second, prevent colds.

A cold at high altitude is not easy to get over, and it is easy to develop into pulmonary edema. It is of little use to take medicine when you have a cold, and you often need infusion and oxygen inhalation.

Therefore, in addition to controlling the amount of activity, we should also pay attention to keeping warm, because the temperature difference between morning and evening in the plateau is large, especially in some scenic spots with high altitude. In summer, the temperature is also very low and the wind is very strong. Pay attention to increasing or decreasing clothes.

Another thing to note is that sometimes you will encounter extreme weather (such as strong wind and heavy snow) when you go to tourist attractions by car. Don't let the children get off to take pictures at this time.

In short, always pay attention to the children's warmth and coldness.

Of course, if you stay in the plateau long enough, catching a cold is not a terrible thing. I don't think mainlanders (including children) who live on the plateau pay much attention to colds.

Second, arrange the time reasonably.

You'd better spend more time if you want to go to Tibet. If you only have four or five days off, you'd better not go. Of course, if you are young and can handle it, that's fine.

This is the case with a Chongqing boy who went to Mount Everest with us. He only has five days off. He went to Lhasa on the first day and set off for Mount Everest the next day. He resisted all the way and took oxygen all the way. Finally, he persisted, but just got used to it and went home the next day after returning to Lhasa.

Some two-bedroom tour groups say it's eight or nine days, but they plan to stay on the train for four days, adapt to Lhasa for one day, and then go to attractions such as Namtso, and the rest of the time is in downtown Lhasa, so it's okay not to report such tours.

On the train from Lhasa to Xining, we met two Hunan elder sisters who signed up for this kind of tour. As a result, we happened to meet Daqing in Tibet. The Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple were closed. As a result, they played Namco and a temple in Lhasa. They didn't go anywhere. They are very reluctant. When they heard that we were going to Qinghai Lake, they got off with us halfway.

Therefore, it is best to arrange a holiday of more than 10 days to go to Tibet. There are many places to play in Tibet, and it will never be wasted.

If you feel that it is not easy to buy a train ticket, you can sign up for a tour group first, discuss with the travel agency in the process of signing up for the tour group, join the tour group in the travel agency's itinerary, leave the tour group after the trip, and then travel freely and let the travel agency help you buy a return ticket.

Third, the date

It's best to go to Tibet on a self-help tour, and don't sign up for a tour. Don't worry about finding a partner. Lhasa is the easiest city to find a partner.

Of course, they rarely travel in such a hard place, and they are also vulnerable groups, so it is relatively difficult to find a partner, because many so-called "donkeys" (all amateurs) are unwilling to be with them for fear of causing trouble.

Therefore, it is better to find a companion with children before departure, so it is easier to charter a car to the scenic spot.

Don't be afraid if you take care of the children alone. Of course, it is best for parents to have some travel experience.

In several famous hotels in Lhasa (such as Dongcuo and Pingcuo), there are special posting areas, where many people who want to make an appointment put up notices of "looking for someone" and "picking up someone". There are all kinds of lines. If you want to ask a date, go to these places and post a note in advance.

Fourth, accommodation.

There are many hotels and inns in Lhasa, of all grades. If you want to stay in an inn, in addition to the famous inns mentioned above, there are many family inns run by Han and Tibetans (there are many Tibetan inns around Dongcuo and Pingcuo). Personally, I prefer Chinese inns. First, they are clean; second, their living habits are similar; third, they feel at home and communicate smoothly.

In addition, Changdu, Linzhi, Shannan (Zedang) and Shigatse are relatively large cities with good accommodation conditions and many choices. You can find it temporarily or ask the chartered driver to recommend it.

Then there are accommodations in some scenic spots, such as Namtso Lake and Everest Base Camp. The accommodation is not good. Most of them are tent inns run by Tibetans, with high altitude. It is not recommended to take children there. If you want to see the sunrise, you can live in a nearby town (if you want to go to Mount Everest, you can live in Dingri Town).

In order to avoid suspicion, I don't recommend the inn. If necessary, we will communicate privately.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) transport

There are shuttle buses between towns in Tibet, so I won't go into details here. I will focus on chartered cars or group tours.

Tibet chartered cars are more expensive than other places, and they are basically priced by kilometers. Generally, off-road vehicles are one kilometer away from 3 yuan, while commercial vehicles are slightly cheaper. Of course, if the chartered car is far away and takes a long time, you can make a counter-offer (at least not less than 2.5 yuan/km).

If you want to go to a remote place with poor road conditions, the price will be high, and it is possible to go to 3.5 yuan or even 4 yuan every kilometer. For example, go to Namura now.

Therefore, in order to share the cost, carpooling is generally chosen when there are not enough people.

What I want to say here is that people who take care of children may suffer some losses in this respect, because in this case, as long as children occupy seats (generally, the distance is long, and older children need seats, otherwise both adults and children will work too hard), it is generally calculated at the price of an adult. We should be psychologically prepared for this. Of course, you can also discuss with the people who share the car and see if it can be calculated at half price.

In addition, the roads in Tibet are mostly mountain roads, and the road conditions are a bit complicated. So when looking for a car, ask the driver if he is familiar with the route he is going to.

Sixth, carpooling.

There are two ways to carpool, one is a pure chartered car, and the other is to cover all expenses.

The so-called only chartered car means paying by the kilometer, and other expenses (meals, accommodation, scenic spots tickets) are taken care of by themselves.

This way seems to be cost-effective, but it is not necessarily suitable to travel to Tibet, because it is a long way, there is much time on the road, and I am not familiar with the local environment. Finding food and shelter is not necessarily suitable for the time being, so this method is not recommended. Of course, if the driver you are looking for is conscientious (depending on your eyesight and luck), you can still consider it.

Another way is to cover everything according to how much money a person has. This is the way to join a group.

Of course, such groups are large and small, with buses and off-road vehicles, and the prices vary greatly.

If it is a big group (bus), the price is relatively cheap, but if you want to enter the store, you have to pay more in other special places (such as Linzhi, you have to pay more for eating Lulang stone pot chicken, and so on).

If it is a small group (off-road vehicle or commercial vehicle), it is basically a pure play group. I recommend this method.

The price of this kind of pure play group varies greatly because of the difference in itinerary, model, food standard and accommodation grade. For example, a four-day tour of Everest (staying at Everest Base Camp for one night) costs from 1650 to 2380.

People who travel frequently know what this is all about. In the case of the same distance, the same scenic spot and the same car type, why the price difference is so big is basically caused by the difference in accommodation.

So when organizing a group, be sure to ask about the standard of accommodation.

Some inns have their own coaches and familiar tourist routes, which are generally more reliable. So if the hotel you are staying in has such conditions, I suggest solving it at the inn (I am simple, so don't worry too much, provided that you think the people in this inn are good).

When you are away from home, you must be calm.

Of course, you can also go to the street and find a bigger travel company to join the group.

Seven, the choice of transportation into Tibet

From the scientific point of view of preventing high reaction, the longer the transition time from low altitude to high altitude, the smaller the probability of high reaction and the lighter the degree.

So from this point of view, driving into Tibet is the best way (the longer the journey, the better), but it is not realistic for most people because time is not allowed.

Followed by the train. The train on the Qinghai-Tibet line began to supply oxygen from Golmud to Lhasa, and there should be no problem on the train (some people still have a headache after going through a place at an altitude of 5000 meters). But being bored in the car for two days is unbearable. Therefore, if possible, it is best to stay in Xining for two days before entering Tibet. Of course, the train tickets from Xining to Lhasa are very tight.

Then fly. Generally speaking, direct flights to Lhasa (3650 meters above sea level) have a higher probability of high response. The safest way is to fly to the forest (2820 meters above sea level), swim through Linzhi area, and then go to Lhasa and other places, which is easier to adapt to.

Eight, diet

In Tibet, besides Tibetan food (which most people are not used to), there is also Sichuan food, so we should make good preparations in this regard. Buttered tea can alleviate altitude sickness. If there is no conflict, drink properly.

Although there are not many varieties of vegetables, they are basically guaranteed, and there are some fruits, so we should eat more vegetables and fruits, especially children, and drink more water.

There are many restaurants in Lhasa, basically with local flavor. There is no KFC McDonald's, but there is Dicos, hehe.

IX. Attractions and itineraries

There are so many places to visit in Tibet that it is almost impossible to visit them all at once. So here are just some general places and ways to play.

(1) Linzhi and its surrounding areas for 3-4 days.

As I said before, if you can enter Tibet from Linzhi, it is the best choice. This can not only effectively prevent high reaction, but also save time, because you shit.

Linzhi basically takes a day to drive (because of road control, the speed limit is segmented).

1. From Lhasa to Linzhi (Bayi Town), most vehicles will take the 3 18 National Highway (via Gyangze, Mozhugongka County and Gongbu Jiangda County), with no additional requirements. There are not many famous scenic spots on this road, and the scenery is average.

Gyangze Wetland (I think it's quite good): It's located outside Gyangze County, beside the road, free of charge.

Long Da Village: Ma Jia Township, Mozhugongka County, the birthplace of Songzan Gambu. If you don't go in, it should be free.

Mainstay: It is also on the roadside, a boulder in the water of Yangni River, free of charge.

Milla Mountain Pass: 50 13m above sea level, the highest point in this section. After crossing this mountain pass, you will enter Linzhi territory.

Songduo Hot Spring: It is a famous hot spring. It is said that the water quality is very good, and the locals also take mixed baths. If there is enough time, I suggest going to a bubble, which is also on the roadside.

Basongcuo: Located in the high gorge and deep valley in the upper reaches of Bahe River, 3 18 44 kilometers away from the national highway, it is the sacred lake of the red religion. Admission 100 yuan.

2. Lulang Linhai and Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon.

(1), going to the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is actually to see Nanga Bawa Peak, not far from the entrance of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. It depends on your luck whether you can see Nanga Bawa Peak or not. As for the scenic spots on the road, forget it.

The Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon is also the entrance to hiking Medog. Tickets 160 yuan, hiking tickets to 90 yuan.

If you can go in under the banner of hiking, you can save money.

There are villages in the canyon to live in, but the sanitary conditions are general and cautious (Yuner and I stayed in a farm under Nangbawa Peak and were bitten by many bags, which is said to be bitten by fleas)!

(2), Lulang Linhai

In Bomi direction, Bayi Town is densely forested, forming a beautiful forest, especially in Lulang area. Tickets 140 yuan/person

If you don't want to spend money to enter the scenic spot, you can also see Lin Hai from the observation deck on the roadside.

It is worth mentioning that the scenery on the road from Lulang to Linzhi is very good, especially in foggy days. Of course, parking may be inconvenient, so pay attention!

The scenery in Lulang is very good, idyllic and fairyland. If time permits, I suggest staying there for one night and tasting the famous Lulang stone pot chicken there.

(3) Other scenic spots in Linzhi include Nanyigou (ticket 120 yuan/person), Linzhi Kadinggou Waterfall (ticket 120 yuan/person) and Linzhi Millennium Baiwang (ticket 15 yuan/person).

(2), Shigatse area (Everest) 3-4 days.

This trip is highly recommended. I don't know why not many people go to Tibet. Although there is a section of road (there is a 100 km earthwork road to Everest base camp, but the scenery on this section is beautiful), it is nothing compared with seeing Everest.

Matters needing attention: Do a good job of border card in advance (through travel agencies, individuals are not allowed to do it), because the road is long, bring some dry food.

The shuttle bus only arrives on the scheduled day, and it is not easy to get a ride on that dirt road (it is said that there is a car rental in Gangga Town), so it is usually chartered from Lhasa.

Attractions along the way:

1, Yangzhuoyongcuo, referred to as Yanghu, is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Tickets to 40 yuan (you don't have to buy tickets if you don't go to the observation deck)

2. Carola Glacier, one of the three major continental glaciers in Tibet. It's free. The place to watch the Corolla Glacier is about 5400 meters above sea level. The location of the movie red river valley.

3. The anti-British site in Shan Zong, Gyangze (Gyangze Castle). It's free. The location of the movie red river valley.

Gyangze is the granary of Tibet, so the pastoral scenery along the way is beautiful. Especially in the season when rape is in full bloom.

4. Everest Base Camp

Because of the high altitude (5200m above sea level) and the cold at night, it is not recommended to take children to live in Everest base camp. Fixed days can be passed, but if you want to watch the sunrise on Mount Everest, you have to get up early.

Everest ticket 180 yuan/person. There is a scenic eco-car shuttle from Everest Base Camp to the observation deck. The fare is 25 people/member, and children are free.

5. Rongbu Temple

It is the highest temple in the world, not far from the base camp.

6. Baiju Temple

Located in Gyangze County, Tibet. Built at the beginning of15th century, it is the monastery of Sakya Sect, Kadang Sect and Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Baiju Temple has Baiju Pagoda, which is famous at home and abroad. Tickets for Baiju Temple (including 100,000 pagodas) 40 yuan

7. Tashilhunpo Temple

Tashilhunpo Temple is the largest temple in Shigatse, Tibet, and one of the "six great temples" of Gelug Sect. Ticket price 55 yuan/person.

8. Yarlung Zangbo River scenery

From Mount Everest to Lhasa, you can take the 3 18 National Highway, some of which is accompanied by the Yarlung Zangbo River. However, if possible, it is recommended to go back by land, because if you don't see Yanghu when you come, you can see it again. Because there are 70 kilometers more, we have to discuss with the driver.

9. Zhangmu Port

If time permits, you can go to Zhangmu from Mount Everest, which is the exit to Nepal, and you can buy handicrafts from Nepal.

(3) Namco 1 day

It is located between Dangxiong County in northern Lhasa and Bango County in Naqu area. One of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, with beautiful scenery, the lake is 47 18 meters above sea level. Tickets 120 yuan/person

Although there are tents near Namtso Lake, it is not recommended for people with children to live there because of the high altitude and low temperature at night.

Nagenla Pass is not far from Namtso Lake, with an altitude of 5 190 meters, overlooking Namtso.

(4) Shannan (Zedang) 1 day

There are many scenic spots in Shannan area, but it is said that the road is difficult to walk because of the construction of hydropower stations, so we only went to the scenic spots near Zedang (Changzhu Temple, Yongbulakang Temple and Sanye Temple). In fact, the Yanghu Lake mentioned above is also in Shannan area. There is also a famous lake, Namco (in Gacha County), where you can see your past lives.

You don't need a chartered bus to go to Zedang, just take the shuttle bus.

Recommended itinerary: Depart at 7: 00 a.m. (to the bus station in the western suburbs of Lhasa), take a bus (50 yuan/person) or take a bus (70 yuan/person) in Zedang, arrive at Sanye Ferry in about two hours (because the land is closed now), take a boat to the other side (it used to take one hour to go upstream and less than half an hour to return to the river), and take a bus (5 yuan/person) to Sanye Temple.

Because there are many people taking the boat at 9: 00 or 10 in the morning, it is better to arrive at the ferry at this time, or you will have to wait for a long boat. Taking a boat in Tibet is also a different experience.

Samye Temple was built during the Tubo Dynasty in the 8th century, and it is the first Buddhist temple in Tibet to be shaved and become a monk. You don't have to buy tickets if you don't enter the main hall. There are four red, black, yellow and white towers in the temple, which is very special.

There is a restaurant in the temple, which is not expensive. You can have lunch there or in Zedang County.

When you come back by boat, you can wait for the bus on the side of the road or stop the passing car to Zedang.

From Zedang County to Changzhu Temple and Yongbulakang, you can take CMB (the former is 2 yuan/person, the latter is 3 yuan/person), and the two are on the same road, not far apart.

Tickets to Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan in 70 yuan are free for children. If you are not interested in temples, you may not go in. The most famous is Pearl Thangka. But it is usually closed.

Yongbulakang is the first palace in Tibet. It is built on the mountain. Standing next to the palace, you can see the fields below. The scenery is very good. You don't have to buy a ticket if you don't enter the temple.

If you are a photographer, it is recommended to climb to the hillside behind the palace, but the road is a bit dangerous, so pay attention to safety.

There is a shuttle bus from Yongbulakang to Zedang after eight o'clock. Please ask the time of the last bus before going up.

There are many buses returning to Lhasa from Zedang, which are all late at night, so don't worry about not coming back that day.

(5) Lhasa City

Of course, the most famous is the Potala Palace. Booking tickets for Bugong should be made one day in advance. One person can book four tickets, and everyone should bring their ID card. It is recommended to queue up for an appointment in the morning.

The reservation ticket has the next day's visit time, and the ticket 100 yuan/person. You can only buy tickets after you enter the gate. Photographs are not allowed in the cloth palace.

There are many tour groups visiting Bugong, so you can follow the tour guide and listen to the explanation at will. Because the tour time of the tour group is limited (one hour), you don't have to follow the tour guide all the time if you are not in a hurry.

Bugong Square is also worth a visit. You can get a panoramic view of Wang Yao. There is a park behind the cloth palace. There is a lake in the park. You can shoot the reflection of the cloth palace. After dark, Bugong's light came on, and the night scene was beautiful, but the time was only about an hour.

Another is Jokhang Temple. If you want to avoid the ticket, you can join the pilgrims at 6 am. It is said that there is success. Admission to 85 yuan/person, free for children.

The front of Jokhang Temple is the best place for photographers to shoot pilgrims. You can also take photos at Jokhang Temple.

There are many temples in Lhasa (it is said that there are hundreds), so you can visit them selectively. The most famous are drepung monastery, Gandan Temple and Sera Temple.

Drepung monastery is located on Mount Genpewu, 65,438+00 kilometers west of Lhasa, and there are direct buses. Its exhibition of Buddha is very famous, but it will wait until the "Snow Festival" on June 30 in the Tibetan calendar.

Gandan Temple is located on Wangbori Mountain, 3800 meters above sea level on the south bank of Lhasa River in Dazi County, Lhasa City, 57 kilometers away from Lhasa. It is the most special of the six temples of the Yellow Sect. It was built in 1409 by Zong Kaba, the founder of Gelug Sect of Buddhism. It can be said to be the ancestral temple of the Gelug Sect.

The debate in Sera Temple is the most distinctive, and you can go at 3 pm from Monday to Friday.

Barkhor Street (Bajiao Street) is a must-see place to Lhasa, and it is the old city of Lhasa. Besides buying souvenirs and local products, you can also eat Tibetan food and visit pubs there. The most famous is Maggie Amy.

Lhasa has human tricycles, which is close enough to take a tricycle, and 3 yuan to 5 yuan. Taxi starting price 10 yuan. Feel that foreign drivers are better than Tibetan drivers.

(6) Other places

In addition to the conventional routes mentioned above, if you have time, you can also go to Yadong (Shigatse area, known as "small southern Tibet") and Ranwu Lake (in basu county, Qamdo area, autumn is the most beautiful, and there are several meters of glaciers nearby).

If time permits and you are not afraid of danger, you can also go to Ali area (the southern line has been paved, and it is said that the Dabei line is also building roads, and many people are going now)

Today's Tibet can be regarded as a pure land in geological environment (people are not sure, many Tibetans are changing their living habits and beliefs under the influence of external factors, and I don't know whether it is progress or retrogression), at least the sky, lakes and most of the land there are not polluted.

Take the children to feel it as soon as possible.
