Where is the Rocco line?

Self-driving in Sichuan and Tibet has always been a favorite way for many people who like to travel, but there are too many routes to choose from on the Sichuan-Tibet line. Today, I can introduce Locke Line to you. What scenery can you see on this route?

Where is the Locke line? Speaking of Le Line, it is not named after a place name like those famous domestic lines such as Ge 'nie Line, Qi Zanggou Line, Medog Line and Gongga Ring Road. It was named after the American explorer Joseph Charles Francis Rock.

1928, American explorer Joseph Charles Francis Rock set out from Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, went deep into Gongga Ridge area and crossed to Yading, Daocheng, Ganzi Prefecture. Later, he published his own articles and photos in National Geographic magazine, showing the world this "last piece of pure land of the blue planet" for the first time.

While the western world was amazed, a brother named james hilton wrote a famous novel, The Lost Horizon, based on a series of articles and photos published by Joseph Charles Francis Rock in National Geographic magazine, especially his adventures in Muli and Aden, a rice city.

Later, people called the "Xanadu" described in the novel "Shangri-La", and there was a worldwide craze for finding Shangri-La. During Joseph Charles Francis Rock's expedition, this route from Muli to Daocheng Aden was called "Locke Line", which made countless donkey friends dream.

It is said that Joseph Charles Francis Rock made two expeditions from Muli to Gongga Ridge, and people called his two routes Lok Line 1 and Lok Line 2 respectively. As shown in the above figure, these two routes are bounded by Baishui River Branch Road, one of which goes eastward into Aden around Shanuoduoji, and the other goes around Shanuoduoji, Yangmaiyong and Xiannairi.

As the main recommended hiking route in 20021,Le Line is one of the most desirable and popular hiking routes in China. It is about 70 kilometers long and is expected to take about 5-7 days. You can enjoy the elegant thousand-year-old temples and pass by abandoned ancient villages; On this route, you will take the oldest road, step by step away from the crowd, away from the noise of the world, and feel the purity and shock of nature in the mountains and plains.

Maybe someone will think, what is the Lok Line? Is it similar to the Sichuan-Tibet Line? In fact, the two are similar to a certain extent, and both belong to a line connecting many scenic spots, while the Lok Line mainly connects the three major mountain ranges of "Xianuoduoji", "Yangmaiyong" and "Xiannairi". The whole line is located in Daocheng County, Sichuan Province, and the Aden Daocheng passing through the route is also the only place for every traveler or hiker.

The hiking route from Shuiluo Township in Muli, Sichuan Province to Aden is called Luoke Line, which is coveted by many hikers. Going deep into the hinterland of Shangri-La Mountain, you can get close contact with the three sacred mountains of Yangmaiyong, Xiannairi and Charoladoroji. Along the way, you can also enjoy the world's rare hinterland scenery such as river valleys, meadows, passes, Haizi, snow-capped mountains, virgin forests and plateau pastures. Follow Locke's footsteps and take this classic route again.

It is a great challenge to recommend crossing this route, which is about 70 kilometers long. On the way, we will pass through several virgin forests, pass through plateau pastures and gentle slopes of rivers, pass through mountain passes, and cross quagmires and swamps. Of course, the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful. Sometimes, just climbing a hillside, you may see a picturesque and quiet village.

There are three temples and three holy mountains.

Dongfeng-Chanuoduoji

At an altitude of 5958 meters, it represents the head of the secret service, King Kong Pani.

The main peak of the snow-capped mountain is a triangular pyramid, which is the closest one among the three snow-capped mountains, and represents the spirit of eliminating violence and being peaceful in Buddhism.

Nanfeng-Yang Maiyong

At an altitude of 5958 meters, Manjusri Bodhisattva stands.

1928, when American explorer Locke crossed this route for the first time, he wrote that she (Yang Maiyong) is the most beautiful mountain in the world that I have ever seen.

North wind-fairy is the sun.

At an altitude of 6032 meters, it represents Guanyin Bodhisattva with great compassion.

As the first of the three peaks in Aden Scenic Area, Sichuan is the fifth largest peak, towering and magnificent, and the sword goes straight into the sky.

Legend has it that a trip to the main snow mountain is equivalent to reading 100 million merits. Three turns can eliminate the crime of eight kills. So from the end of 19 to the middle of the 20th century, it was occupied by bandits, who burned, killed and looted around it, and then went over mountains and temples to make amends.

Tibetans at the foot of the mountain say that all beings who believe in Buddhism by fate can understand the cause of this life and the afterlife by worshipping the three main snow-capped mountains. Worship the holy mountain three times, and your wish will come true in this life.

In addition, there are countless plateau scenery composed of Haizilin, rivers, alpine waterfalls, lakes and snow peaks, and the whole scenery is panoramic.

On the road, five-color prayer flags can be seen everywhere. In the eyes of Tibetans, five colors symbolize five natural phenomena: white is pure and kind, red is vigorous and powerful, green is soft and peaceful, yellow is kind and knowledgeable, and blue is brave and witty.

Chonggu Temple was built in Yuan Dynasty, with an altitude of 3,900 meters. It was burned twice, and now only broken walls is left in the temple. 1928, when Locke visited Risong Kampot (three chefs), he stayed in the temple for three days. Through the small window in the temple, he looked at the quiet and peaceful Aden village under the moon along the canyon, which later became the prototype of Shangri-La's "Beautiful Blue Moon Valley" written by Hilton.

There is a big temperature difference between day and night on this route, and there may be unexpected situations such as rain, snow and hail on the way. When the temperature is between-10 ~- 15, special attention should be paid to warm and waterproof equipment.

May-July is the rainy season in this area, and there are dozens of kilometers of leech areas on the way, which will be difficult to walk.

According to the hiking records of most mountain friends, many people set out in April and September-165438+10. On the one hand, the scenery in autumn is the most beautiful, on the other hand, the temperature is mild.

2. Lok Line is a professional hiking route. Friends must be fully prepared before departure, and must make plans before departure.
