Too much watering in summer has two disadvantages. If it is placed in a cool environment, the plants will not sleep. If it is watered too frequently and the water is sufficient, the plants will grow rapidly, leading to the growth of branches and leaves, which will make the plants grow tall and messy and lose their beauty.

If the ambient temperature is relatively high, the plants are in a dormant state, and the pot soil is too wet, which is easy to cause root rot. Therefore, when raising more meat in summer, try to reduce watering, succulents are very drought-resistant and the soil is dry at all. When the weather is cool, increase watering appropriately.

Second: no more fertilization.

Succulents themselves don't need much fertilizer. When the temperature is high in summer, plants stop growing completely and don't need too many nutrients. If we fertilize them at this time, plants will not absorb it and burn their roots.

Furthermore, when the weather is cool, too many nutrients will promote the continued growth of plants, resulting in too many branches and scattered plants.

After the summer dormancy period of succulents, they should rest. In addition to controlling watering, no more fertilization can be done. After the weather gets cold in autumn, it is necessary to properly pour some thin fertilizer to make plants grow healthily.

Third: Avoid direct sunlight.

In different seasons, the maintenance methods of succulents are different. For example, in terms of lighting, succulent potted plants can be maintained in sunny places in spring, autumn and winter, but in summer, we must pay attention to shading, otherwise the leaves will be easily sunburned, leaving scars, which will be infected and rotted.

In summer, potted plants can be maintained in places with weak scattered light to avoid direct sunlight. You can't be completely deprived of sunshine all summer, otherwise it will easily lead to wasted growth and make plants deformed and scattered.
