Characteristics of Chongqing Qianjiang Zhuoshui Wind and Rain Covered Bridge

Yufeng Corridor Bridge is located in Zhuoshui Ancient Town, Qianjiang District, Chongqing. It is divided into two floors, one for tourists and citizens, and the other for viewing and entertainment. It spans the Apeng River, 303 meters long and 5 meters wide. It is the first covered bridge in Asia and the second covered bridge in the world, second only to the covered bridge in Atlanta, Canada.

The Feng Shui covered bridge in the ancient town of Zhuoshui is a pure wooden structure. Building materials are connected by tenons and mortises, and the structure is firm and precise. There is a three-story tower pavilion in Yufeng Bridge in the ancient town of Zhuoshui. There are red painted benches in the bridge, so tourists can sit at any time when they are tired. When summer and winter are cool or the weather is bad, it is a kind of shelter for businessmen or indigenous villagers. There is also a two-story overlooking building in the middle of the covered bridge, with a wooden structure. There is enough light reflection in early summer, and the sunshine in the morning and afternoon can even be direct. The herringbone covered bridge with green tiles and wooden beams is transparent on all sides, so the rain will naturally not soak into the covered bridge, and the covered bridge will always be dry. Moreover, when the crowd is crowded, the covered bridge like a trough can also play a role in regulating the flow of people, so as not to be like a mess on the street. Different spaces and different functions are virtually divided, with ups and downs and levels. The covered bridge is long and wide, so people can walk smoothly and freely.
