What does Yin Yang Cave in Guiyang, Guizhou mean?
Yinyang Cave in Guiyang, Guizhou
Overview of Yinyang Cave: There is a cool wind cave in Qingxigou Village, Caijia Town, Jiangjin District. The locals call it "Yinyang Cave". The wind splits into two parts through the entrance of the cave, with one side being cool and the other side rolling in heat. No one can explain the reason for this phenomenon clearly.
Concrete examples prove: halfway up the mountainside of Qingxigou Reservoir in Caijia Town, a huge rock is hidden in the bamboo forest. The rock is about two or three stories high, facing the southwest and leaning against the cliff. Approaching the rock, there are two small cave entrances on the left and right sides. The wind blowing out is cool on one side and hot on the other. This is the "Yin Yang Cave" legendary by the locals. Hot wind is a yang cave, and cool wind is a yin cave.
Field test: The thermometer in your hand shows thirty-five degrees. Next, you will place the thermometers at the entrances of the two holes. After five minutes, the two thermometers showed temperatures of 18 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively. With only one meter apart, the temperature difference between the two holes reaches eight degrees Celsius. Local villagers said that the hotter the weather, the greater the temperature difference between the two cave entrances.
Situation inside the cave: Follow the local villagers and crawl in from the left hole entrance close to the ground. It turns out that the two holes are actually connected, but the two sides are separated by huge rocks. Entering the cave, the light is dim and you can barely see. After continuing for a few meters, it suddenly became clear that five or six people could be accommodated inside, and they could also stand and walk. Walking along the creek at your feet, there are a series of small puddles in the low-lying areas. This spring water should come from the mountain. As for the wind, there should be a hole above it. Without the hole, there would be no convection. This is just a guess. I don’t know where the wind comes from, and I haven’t found the source. There are hard objects like stalactites and a large number of pebbles on the rock wall inside the cave. For safety reasons, the reporter and the villagers planned to return the same way. According to the legend of the locals, there is a bottomless pit inside the Yin-Yang Cave, with caves connected to caves. Although there have been expedition teams, they have never been able to get through, and it is still unknown where the other exit is.
