Experts from Chongqing Meteorological Bureau announced for the first time the reason why Chongqing was hit by sub-super-strong wind and hail: due to the large circulation situation in the middle and high latitudes, it was sunny, hot and hot in Chongqing on the 5th, and the temperature rose rapidly. The highest temperature in all places generally rose to 30-34℃, and the local unstable energy accumulated sharply. At the same time, the cold air from the north reached the northern edge of Sichuan Basin.

Beginning on the night of the 5th, the cold air moving southward rapidly triggered a strong release of unstable energy in Chongqing. Chongqing constantly produces strong convective clouds from west to east, forming strong downdraft before some convective clouds, and these downdrafts reach the ground to form strong winds; In some areas, due to the continuous generation or movement of convective clouds, heavy precipitation is formed. Generally speaking, this process is a strong thunderstorm, gale and hail process triggered by cold air, with rapid temperature rise in the early stage and high accumulation of unstable energy.
