A brief history of development

Qilu Medical College of Shandong University is the original Shandong Medical University. In 2000, it merged with the original Shandong University and Shandong University of Technology to form the new Shandong University. Qilu Medical College first started as the Shandong Dengzhou Cultural Hall founded in 1864. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1952, during the nationwide restructuring of university departments, Shandong Medical College was merged from Qilu University Medical College, Shandong Provincial Medical College, and East China Bethune Medical College, and was renamed Shandong Medical University in 1985.
