Is white pear melon suitable for planting in Fujian?
My hometown, Jihu Town, Jinxiang County, Jining City, passed the examination and approval of the Ministry of Agriculture and won the title of "China Bailigua".
The title of "hometown".
According to legend, Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, was deeply sleepy and thirsty when he passed through here. He was greatly praised after he tasted Jihu Zhengua. Claiming to be
"Sweet, crisp, thirst-quenching, like a pear and not a pear, strange! Wonderful! " Since then, people have called this small melon "Li Bai Gua".
Later, because the skin of the melon is white, shaped like a pear, sweet and crisp as a pear, it was renamed "white-skinned pear melon" and has continued to this day.
This winter vacation, I experienced the whole seedling raising process of white pear melon. Nursery work is generally like this: first, build a small arch shed, put a nutrition bowl in the shed, and use finely screened fine soil and mixed fertilizer when putting the bowl. Soak the seeds in warm water for 8- 10 hour, then put them into a germination accelerating machine to accelerate germination at 25-30℃ for one day. When the buds grow to 3- 10 mm, the seeds can be sown, and each nutrient pot contains 1-2 seeds. Cover with plastic film after planting. There is a heater burning in the shed, and grass is covered outside the shed. Remove it every morning to increase the temperature, and cover it at night to keep warm. In order to prevent the temperature from being too high, ventilation should be carried out at noon.
When raising seedlings, make a greenhouse in the field and tie bamboo poles with iron wires. Then choose windless weather, ask neighbors and relatives for help, cover the tied shelf with plastic drip film, and then wait for the transplanting of melon seedlings.
Now, almost every family in the village has planted the arched shed white pear melon, so after work, I launched an in-depth investigation. From the mouth of melon farmers, village committees and town leaders, we know that white pear melon has become the treasure of increasing farmers' income in our town in recent years. Because the size of the arch shed ranges from 2m to 10m, the natural benefits are different due to different thermal insulation conditions. In 2006, the average income per mu of large and small sheds exceeded 4,500 yuan, and the income per mu of 10m shed planted in Xiaozhangzhuang Village exceeded 1 10,000 yuan. Compared with 600 yuan, which used to grow wheat, the income per mu has increased several times.
At the same time, the planting area of white pear melon is also increasing. From 200 mu of 200 1 to more than 20,000 mu now.
Jining Quality Supervision Bureau and Jinxiang Quality Supervision Bureau cooperated with Jihu Town Government to intensify development, formed a standardized production base of 10,000 mu of melon with our town as the center, guided melon farmers to re-apply farm manure, sprayed biological micro-fertilizers, put an end to the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and adopted a new technology of double-layer plastic film covering. From land ploughing, seedling transplanting to follow-up technical guidance of production management, standardized planting will be fully implemented.
Gong Peng white pear melon in our town has the advantages of early maturity, high yield, high sugar content and good taste. Rich in essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals and trace elements, it is a truly high-quality pollution-free product. With its excellent quality, it is favored by consumers in Shandong and Beijing and Tianjin. Products are listed in late April every year. Last year, there was a phenomenon that white pears and melons were out of stock in the field. Vehicles from all over the country drive directly to the fields, waiting for the pears to ripen. The melon farmers were overjoyed!
My town Xiaozhangzhuang village, Dongfeng village and Wanghai village generally grow arch shed pears and melons. Transplanting in March and harvesting in mid-June every year. The villages of Huangduiji, Lihai and Liu Zhuang are all planting garlic fields and interplanting Pak Lei and melon. Sow in May and harvest in August every year. Intercropping white pears and melons has low cost and price, and the market is very good.
In view of the cultivation and sales of white pear melons in our town, various media have reported one after another. The headline of Qilu Evening News is "Melon Enriching the People". Jining TV Station and Jinxiang TV Station conducted on-the-spot interviews and broadcast them on TV. Jinxiang Popular Newspaper also mentioned the white pear melon in Jihu town many times.
