There are two ways to climb Changbai Mountain. Generally speaking, it is necessary to climb from the north slope from Yanji, and from Shenyang and Changchun to Baihe from the south slope. Climbing from the south slope, you can take Erdaobaihe Town as the foothold; Climbing from the west slope, you can take Songjianghe Town as the foothold. These two routes pass through two-thirds of the scenic spots in Changbai Mountain, mainly Tianchi and Changbai Mountain Grand Canyon. Both lines are equipped with mountain gates. You can take a bus to the scenic spots on the north slope of Erdaobaihe Town. If you want to go to Tianchi, you must change to an off-road vehicle at Tianchi intersection. This is because the road is steep and dangerous, and ordinary cars can't drive. If tourists have physical strength and interest, they can walk from Tianchi intersection to Tianchi, which takes about 90 minutes one way. If you take an off-road vehicle directly at Erdaobaihe. From the west slope to the mountain, the price of the car is similar, and the two mountain gates are connected by a ring mountain road.

Day 1 day

Visitors from Beijing, Changchun and Jilin should get off at dunhua station first by train (take K2 15 times from Beijing; Take K655 from Changchun). If the weather is bad, you can visit other landscapes first, such as the spectacular Changbai Waterfall, Yuantan, Xiaotianchi, Wenquan Group, Valley Forest, Changbai Mountain Grand Canyon, Ice Spring and so on. And you can also exercise in the plateau ice and snow base, Du Fu Villa, which belongs to the ice and snow base, or live in the athletes' village.

If the weather was bad yesterday and I didn't see Tianchi, I still have a chance this morning. If the weather is fine, I will go to the main peak as soon as possible to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tianchi, which is also called glad you came. The return trip can be reversed by the original route. If you saw Tianchi yesterday and want to hurry back to Beijing, you must go down at dawn and take the K2 16 train from Dunhua. If you are going back to Shenyang, Changchun and Jilin, you can go down the mountain before noon, go to Changbai Mountain Natural Museum after Erdaobaihe, take a bus to Antu before 15:00 in the afternoon, return by train at night, and get home early the next morning.
