1. Earthquake
According to statistics, there are about 5 million earthquakes on the earth every year, that is, tens of thousands of earthquakes occur every day. Most of them are too small or too far away to be felt; There are about a dozen or twenty earthquakes that can really cause serious harm to human beings; About one or two earthquakes will cause particularly serious disasters. Earthquakes that people can't feel must be recorded by seismographs; Different types of seismographs can record earthquakes with different intensities and distances. Thousands of various seismic instruments are running around the world, monitoring the trend of earthquakes day and night. At present, the level of science and technology can not predict the arrival of earthquakes, and it will not predict earthquakes for a long time to come. The so-called successful examples of earthquake prediction are basically coincidences. For earthquakes, what we should do more is to improve the seismic grade of buildings and do a good job in defense, rather than predicting earthquakes.
2. Tsunami
When the tsunami happened, the shock wave spread far away in an expanding circle on the sea surface. At a high speed of 600- 1000 km per hour, it rushes to 1000-20000 km on the unobstructed ocean surface, setting off a surf wave with a height of 10-40 m, engulfing everything it affects. Sometimes the tsunami that reaches the coast first may be a trough, and the water level drops, exposing the shallow seabed; A few minutes later, the peak came, retreated and advanced, causing devastating damage.
3.tornado
Tornado is the strongest vortex phenomenon in the atmosphere, which often occurs in thunderstorm weather in summer, especially in the afternoon and evening. Although the scope of influence is small, it is extremely destructive. Tornadoes often pull up trees, overturn vehicles, destroy buildings and so on. They often destroy crops and tens of thousands of fruit trees instantly, interrupt traffic, collapse houses, and cause human and animal lives and economic losses.
