How to take good photos in bad weather? I will give you three suggestions based on my personal experience.

The Jinkeng terraced field in Longji Dazhai was originally one of the places I was most looking forward to when planning my trip to Guangdong and Guangxi on National Day.

However, in the end, it became the most miserable stop of my trip. Well, it is really a "golden pit".

Nine hours of traffic jams, two days of fog,

It's not that the scenery is not beautiful, it's that the scenery is too bad.

I'm not going to write it,

However, given that there are so many movies here,

So, let's talk about,

Follow a few photos and share some "keywords" behind them.

0 1

balcony

October is the harvest season for rice fields.

Autumn is the most beautiful season of the Dragon Ridge.

But people are not as good as heaven,

On the National Day, I went to Jinkengtai in Longji Dazhai for two days. The rain turned cloudy and cloudy turned foggy. The first day was foggy and the next day was foggy.

It's so wet and cold that I can't stand it outside.

So the two observation platforms at the top of the mountain didn't go, and many photos were taken from the hotel balcony halfway up the mountain.

It's good to have this balcony.

This hotel in Longji, similar to Yangshuo, has a big balcony.

But in view of the poor accommodation, it is not recommended to you.

What I want to say here is that if you are a photographer, go to a scenic spot to take pictures.

I don't think the room is important. The location of the balcony is important.

Because it is not only a private viewing platform, but also a relatively comfortable shooting space for you.

On the second day of Longji, I wanted to go to the observation deck at the top of the mountain to shoot the sunrise, but it began to rain when I got to the top of the mountain. Not only can't I shoot, but people are freezing. I quickly hid back to the inn and put a tripod and octopus on the balcony. One shot is delayed and the other takes a picture.

For example, this photo, I think it is inseparable from the balcony.

The fog at the top of the terraced hill is very heavy, blocking the distant mountains behind.

But my intuition tells me that from this angle, you can make a movie.

So, wait indoors and observe the scene outside the window through the glass. Finally, at a certain moment, the dense fog at the top of the mountain became thin, looming out of the peak, and the upper and lower structures of vertical composition were used to draw pictures.

I think this may be one of the fairest photos I have taken in Longji.

02

fog

Two days of cloudy and foggy days, there is no worst, only worse.

Therefore, it is impossible to see those "masterpieces" of sunrise and sunset in vision china.

We can only try to find beauty under the existing conditions.

Where's the cloud? In fact, there are layers, with quilts above and flocs below. If you take a panoramic view, there is no light, no hierarchy and no color.

The word dim is the key word in mobile phone shooting.

However, if you focus on the details and shoot the part where the mountain meets the fog,

That picture is very fairy.

Mountains and fog, white and green,

How to make the picture brilliant?

I am more concerned about three points.

The first point is to compare lines.

There are always some uneven places, or trees or buildings in the undulating terraces, and their existence will destroy the beauty of the terraces. So I paid special attention to excluding them from the picture when shooting.

For example, this photo can be compared with the original picture below:

Whether the trees on the right and below enter the picture has a great influence on the aesthetic feeling of the photo.

The second point is the broken element. Just shoot terraces and clouds, even if the terraces are beautiful, the picture is monotonous.

However, if you join some houses or people, you will be full of aura.

It can be a "point", such as the building in this photo:

It can also be a "line". For example, the building in this photo is shot as an "inverted C":

Relatively speaking, such photos will be more interesting.

The third point is hue.

Of course, the golden ridges in autumn are more attractive, but I decided to adjust the photos to be colder when I encountered heavy fog.

Because of this, the blue and white clouds look cleaner and quieter, and the photos are more transparent.

03

mankind

All the photos above were taken with mobile phones.

I also brought a camera this time, but I didn't use it as often as my mobile phone.

But in Longji, it is an exception. Many portraits are taken with cameras.

Say a few photos,

In this picture, Xiao Nan rented a national costume on the observation deck.

The observation deck, as you know, must be a group, so how can we get a clean background?

First, it is a close-up, and there is no requirement for the environment. Just find a place, as long as no one is there, even with cement as the background, you can see the photos. Who makes the aperture of the camera have a natural advantage?

Of course, light is more important in close-up shooting.

Can be backlit, a little exposed, bright people, bright background, look clean.

Can side light, light and shade, more stereoscopic.

The second is to widen the distance between the subject and the background.

For example, in this photo, it seems that the aperture is very soft, just like a fixed focus shot.

But in fact, I deliberately chose the corner of the observation deck stairs. Although there are many people here, most of them will not stay.

Then I lowered the camera position when shooting, and only took a bust, which weakened the sense of existence of the position. In this way, because the terrace in the background is far away from the position of the characters, I can get better blur and the background looks cleaner.

Third, it is the combination of reality and reality.

You don't have to have a clear figure to shoot someone. Sometimes the action is done in place, and some plants are used as the foreground, and the front is solid and the back is empty, which looks very good.

Two days of dragon ridge, not many good memories,

It's said to be two days, and the real photo-taking time is only half a day.

I was stuck in the room for a long time because of the rain, and one day I was stuck in the road because of the traffic jam.

There are only a few photos,

That's all I can say,

The scenery is really beautiful and the experience is really bad.

Write it out,

I have an explanation for myself,

Save some memories for the future.
