About visa

After choosing to travel independently, the first step to prepare is the visa. The travel agency is solely responsible for the visa. It costs 1,300 RMB per person, which is about 400 RMB more expensive than applying for it yourself. The price is quite reasonable.

Tips: If your English proficiency is good and you have worked for more than half a year (parents are not required to sponsor), you can go to the official website of the British Embassy to apply. Because of the length of service between Lao Yang and I, we finally handed it over to the travel agency.

Air ticket booking

As we all know, July-August is the peak tourist season in the UK, and it is also the time when international students start their studies, so air tickets are relatively expensive. I chose the cheapest Air China, connecting flight from Qingdao to Beijing, and then flying to London. The flight time is about 11 hours, including the 3 hours of transfer, the total is about 14 hours. But the flight experience this time is far different from that of Emirates Airlines before. The Air China route from Beijing to London is very bumpy, which is comparable to taking a ferry, and it is bumpy from start to finish. If you have the conditions, you can choose to take off from Shanghai. Emirates Airlines, connecting flights in Dubai, can not only feel the rich luxury atmosphere of Dubai, but also avoid the cumbersome domestic transfer terminal, which is a good choice.
