It usually takes several days for the bathroom to be waterproof.

Waterproofing in the bathroom is very important, it must be meticulous and the technology must be standard.

First of all, the wall is treated at the grass-roots level, the potholes are repaired, and the gaps are filled with powder. Then clean up the dust on the wall, wet the wall with water, and then draw a line. Brush waterproof coating twice, with a uniform height of 1.8 meters. Then began to paste wall tiles.

The same is true for the ground, so it is necessary to paste the threshold stone first, clean it up, and reinforce the corner at the root of the sewer pipe with plugging agent. After being wetted with water, brush the waterproof coating vertically and horizontally, and brush the waterproof coating horizontally and vertically twice.

It takes 3~4 days for the toilet to be waterproof, and the waterproof steps are as follows:

1, ground treatment. Before waterproof treatment, the ground must be leveled first. If the ground is uneven, it may affect the waterproof effect, and it may also lead to cracking and leakage because of the uneven thickness of waterproof paint. Floor drain, corner, pipe root and other joints should be painted with high elasticity and flexibility, because the joints between the bathroom wall and the ground will be displaced and water will easily seep out.

2. Wall treatment. Wall surface treatment should be coated with waterproof coating with a height of about 30cm to prevent water from infiltrating into the wall surface to regain moisture. If there is a shower room in the bathroom, it should be waterproof to 180cm. If there is a bathtub, the waterproof height of the wall adjacent to the bathtub should be 30cm higher than that of the bathtub.

3, waterproof dead angle. During construction, attention should be paid to the joints between the wall and the ground, and the joints between the upper and lower water pipes and the ground are the most prone to problems.

4, closed water test. After the waterproof construction, a closed water storage test should be carried out, and the water at the highest point on the ground should not be less than 2cm. After more than 24 hours, no leakage is considered as qualified. After the equipment installation is completed, the secondary water storage test is carried out.

The basic steps of waterproof construction are generally as follows: base treatment → coating base treatment agent → coating 2㎜ thick polyurethane waterproof coating → additional layer construction → coating EPDM film and special adhesive for base → dry adhesive → film bonding → film seam sealing → water storage test → waterproof layer acceptance → making protective layer.

After the waterproof layer construction is completed, a 24-hour water storage test shall be carried out, and the waterproof protective layer construction of the next working procedure can be carried out only after the water tightness is checked.

It usually takes 48 hours from base treatment to glue drying, plus 24 hours of water storage test after waterproof layer construction, which means that the fastest time is about 72 hours (that is, 3 days). If the ground is wet and the weather is wet, the corresponding time can be extended.
