What is peach blossom water?

Peach blossom flood, also known as spring flood, peach blossom flood and peach blossom flood, refers to the ice flood caused by the melting of the Yellow River in Ningxia and Inner Mongolia of China in February and March. Because it goes downstream, it is in the peach blossom season, so it is called peach blossom water.

From February to April every year, there is always a small rainy season that is "incompatible" with the dry season climate in Yunnan, such as Weixi County, Gongshan County and Fugong County in Diqing Prefecture (all marked in the figure).

Peach blossom flooding is not peach blossom luck, which can neither attract "peach blossom" nor cause natural disasters.

Due to the short-term heavy rainfall, landslides and mudslides often occur in mountainous areas, and it is common for houses and roads to be destroyed by heavy rains.

Extended data:

The cause of peach blossom water:

The peach blossom season is full of water vapor, thanks to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. As the roof of the world, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has a great influence on the weather and climate in China.

When the westerly belt at the same latitude meets the towering Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it will take a detour, just like the water meets a boulder in the middle of the river.

Some winds come from the north, some from the south, and the winds from the south form southwest winds in northern Myanmar and western Yunnan.

In spring, the southwest wind will continuously transport the water vapor from the Bay of Bengal to the northwest of Yunnan, which is the source of water vapor in the "Peach Blossom Flood".
