Midi Music Festival is the first original music festival founded by Beijing Midi Music School, the birthplace of China underground rock band. After more than ten years of development, it has become one of the loudest brands of modern music. Beijing Midi Music School was founded in 1993, and is known as the Whampoa Military Academy of Chinese rock music. It is the largest modern music school in China and has the qualification of a national rating agency.

Midi Music Festival invites domestic and foreign performing bands to perform every year. From the first Midi Music Festival held in Midi School Auditorium in 2000 to Nanyang Zhongyuan Midi Music Festival in 2023, Midi Music Festival has gone through 23 years, which is also the 30th anniversary of Midi's founding.
