Why does the green water hyacinth turn white?

All the water hyacinths in eel cages or ponds turned white, which was caused by the application of some quinolones in the waters where water hyacinths grew. For example, after three consecutive applications of norfloxacin in eel ponds, all water hyacinth plants will turn from green to white after 7 ~ 10 days. According to the investigation, when the water hyacinth in the eel pond turns white, there will be no abnormal phenomenon in the raised eels. Bleached water hyacinth should be treated by changing pool water or replanting. Generally, after changing the water, the water hyacinth will be transplanted again, and its plants will not turn from green to white again. Every spring and autumn, there is cold air going south and cold wave weather. When the cold wave comes, the water temperature of rivers, reservoirs and lakes can't change with the sharp drop of temperature at once (because water has the characteristics of slow heat absorption and slow heat dissipation), but the temperature of small-area water body drops rapidly, which will lead to the temperature difference between large-area water body and small-area water body exceeding 3℃. If the water body of rivers and lakes is cited at this time, it will cause temperature difference damage to Monopterus albus.
