Tengchong belongs to Baoshan City, Yunnan Province.

Tengchong is located in the west of Yunnan Province. Its name originated from the old Tang book. Since the Western Han Dynasty, Tengchong County was established in 19 13, and was abolished in 20 15 to set up a city. The land area of the city is 5845 square kilometers, and the border line is 150 kilometers. There are 10 towns, 7 townships and 2 streets. There are 25 ethnic groups, including Han, Hui, Dai, Wa, Lisu and Achang, with a total population of 69 100, including 6,000 ethnic minorities.
