The Present, Past and Future of Longdongbao

Longdongbao is located in Nanming District, Guiyang City. Although it belongs to the urban area, it is actually a suburb. Its organizational system is not even a town, but a street in a district.

Many, many years ago, because my father's job was transferred, my mother moved, and our family moved here. At that time, Longdongbao was an old street only half an hour away. There is a primary school, a middle school and several units.

Legend has it that in ancient times (I don't know how long ago), there was a big official and his men who ran all the way here because they were chased by bandits. They found a hole and saw that there was no way out, so they plunged into it. This hole is very, very deep, and there are many small holes in the branch. After chasing the bandits, they saw the deep hole, and there might be bright eyes looking outside the hole, so they were afraid to go in. As a result, the official's life was saved. When I came out, I asked the locals that this was the Dragon Cave (was there a dragon at that time? Therefore, it was named Longdongbao. We knew about this hole when we were young, but no one dared to go in. It is said that it leads to far away places.

Longdongbao is not far from Guiyang, but the urban area is hundreds of meters above sea level. It is made up of mountains, so the traffic is extremely inconvenient. There is only one winding and steep national road connecting with the urban area. When I was a child, going to town was a big project. So, more often, we live in Longdongbao.

At that time, Longdong Castle was closed to the outside world, but it was beautiful. Especially in winter festivals, the mountains are often closed by heavy snow, and long icicles are often hung under the eaves, crystal clear. Many osmanthus trees are planted in the campus where my parents work. There is a thin layer of ice on the leaf surface of the winter festival, which we will carefully remove, that is, a complete ice leaf with clear veins.

There is a river that runs through the valley. This river is called Sanchahe, also called Yuliang River. This river is the upper reaches of Nanming District, the mother river of Guiyang. The river is light green and crystal clear. This used to be a paradise for small fish and shrimp. The riverbed bends and changes, and some river sections are steep and covered with large reefs. In the season of rising water, the river flows down with great momentum. And some riverbeds are as quiet as virgins, slowly flowing and dancing along the river, and the places not deep on the side are covered with soft aquatic plants. Some places are narrow, some places are wide, and some places are deep pools. On one side of the river bank is a high mountain rock. Due to the perennial erosion of rivers, the rock layer has become beautiful. Longteng hangs down the rocks, and tough plants grow in the cracks between the rocks, covering the whole rock wall; On the other side of the river, there are beaches or grasslands. These beaches or grasslands are places where we play.

This river is only ten minutes away from our home. There is an ancient stone bridge and a modern stone bridge not far apart. But when I was a child, I was not allowed to go to the river alone. I have to take my father to swim in the river. It was the happiest way to play when I was a child, but I didn't go there several times a year: one was to watch the weather, the other was to watch my father's mood, and the third was to watch his time.

After work, we can finally go to the river to play by ourselves. I remember that we often go fishing in the net at night. That kind of river-blocking net is put down and pulled up again, and dozens of small fish hang on the net, which really makes us reluctant to leave. However, more and more people come to catch fish, and fish are becoming less and less.

And every morning, many people who live in the city will take the first bus to swim here, all year round.

About 20 minutes' walk, there is a big forest, Tuyunguan Forest Park, which is only 2.5 kilometers away from the urban area. The mountains are continuous, the land is fertile, stretching for dozens of kilometers, covered with pine trees and tea trees, with a total area of 3900 mu. Forest coverage accounts for 90%. Thrushcross, owl, pheasant, squirrel, pangolin, hedgehog, roe deer, hare, mud pig and other wild animals live in it. There are also many cliff stone tablets in the park, and there are more than 20 original Guandi Temple, Guanguan Hall, Ci 'en Pavilion and Keqi Pavilion nearby. The most famous is the "Wan Li Hou Feng" Square in Yang Fang. Because of its many tree species, long forest time, wide area, gurgling springs, rare birds singing, cicadas singing and fragrant grass growing, it has the reputation of "one of the eight scenic spots in Guiyang" and ranks first among urban forest parks in China. 1999 was listed as "China Famous Garden".

This used to be a strategic throat, and the so-called one person kept it, and ten thousand people could not. When I was a child, it was a legendary haunt of ghosts (in fact, adults scared children to play by themselves). However, there are always robberies. After all, it was very evasive at that time, and few people were there. In recent years, the government began to pay attention to and invest a lot of money, built a number of paths in the park, and rebuilt the tombs and statues of martyrs sacrificed by the International Red Cross here.

Many ornamental flowers and trees have been replanted, and many wild monkeys have been diverted from Qianling Mountain Park to the forest. Monkeys must think this is their territory. They often stand in rows on the roadside, waiting for pedestrians to feed them. There are countless birds in the forest, and all kinds of small animals are gradually increasing.

At ordinary times or on weekends, almost every path has people exercising and others walking. The legendary forest park haunted by ghosts has finally become a great oxygen bar for people to relax. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh. As soon as I entered the forest area, the air felt different. The scent of pine trees and fallen pine needles are on the ground. Spring is the season in bloom. Whether in the sun or in the drizzle, forest parks attract people with a special charm. Feast for the eyes! Every time I go to the forest, I feel peaceful and happy.

Around the end of 1980s, a new bridge named Jianlong Bridge was built here. This is a tofu bridge. Why is it called Tofu Bridge? Because I dare not be too tofu. After all, it is a bridge. But when the bridge was built, I felt that it was broken here today, and it was broken there tomorrow, and no one was in charge. For a long time, Longdong Castle was like a corner forgotten by the world, which was extremely messy. There is only one road. It is full of sand in sunny days and muddy in rainy days.

Finally, Longdongbao was developed last year. It was named Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, a provincial-level area. The original residents and farmers of Longdongbao have become relocated households, and the original poor people have become rich when they wake up.

Now the whole Longdongbao area is like a huge construction site, working day and night. Modern high-rise buildings have sprung up, neon lights are flashing at night, and every newly built roadside is full of flowers and trees.

The original river is being transformed into a wetland park. Including the doors and walls of our community, we have to tear down roads.

Longdongbao will become a modern city after years of silence.

However, the river that gave me many good memories, the river that can go down to the river to pick wild vegetables and wild flowers at will, the river that can go swimming at will, and the river that surprised me when the willows sprouted in spring are gone. In the future, they will all be part of the wetland park. Beauty is beauty, but it is not so civilian and grounded. Everything will be full of artificial traces. ...
