Are there really meteors in the world? How are meteors formed?
1. There are really shooting stars in the world, and they can usually be seen at night in summer when the weather is good.
2. Meteors are light trails produced by dust particles and solid blocks (meteoroids) in interplanetary space that break into the Earth's atmosphere and burn by friction with the atmosphere. If they do not burn up in the atmosphere, they are called "meteorites" or "meteorites" after falling to the ground. Meteoroids originally moved around the sun. When they passed near the earth, they were affected by the earth's gravity and changed their orbits, thus entering the earth's atmosphere.
3. Meteors include single meteors, bolides and meteor showers. There is no regularity in the appearance time and direction of individual meteors, and they are also called sporadic meteors. Fireballs are also occasional meteors, but they appear very bright, like a fire dragon, and may be accompanied by an explosion. Some are even visible during the day. Many meteors radiate outward from a certain point (radiant point) in the starry sky. This is a meteor shower. Meteorites are the remaining parts of larger meteoroids in the solar system that were not completely burned after they broke into the earth's atmosphere. They bring us a wealth of information about the formation and evolution of the solar system's celestial bodies, and are welcome uninvited guests. The density of ordinary meteoroids is extremely low, about 1/20 of the density of water. About billions or tens of billions of meteoroids enter the Earth's atmosphere every day, and their total mass can reach 20 tons.
