Noun explanation of Antarctic weather

I don't quite understand. In Antarctica, the climate is mainly polar.

Polar climate, also known as cold zone climate, includes ice sheet climate and tundra climate. The climate of the ice sheet is distributed on the Antarctic continent and some islands in the Arctic Ocean. It is cold all the year round, and the ground is covered with thick ice and snow. The tundra climate is distributed in the northern edge of Eurasia and North America. There is no summer in winter, and plants such as moss and lichen grow on the ground.
