The reconstruction project of Jaco Railway, with a total length of 39.6 kilometers, is planned to be transformed into a fully enclosed and fully interchanged national railway I-class railway, with double-track electrification and CRH6F EMU for passenger transport. Adaptively transform Zibo Station, Zichuan Station, Grand Kunlun Station and Boshan Station, and add four new stations: Nandingbei, Shuangyang, Zichuan South and Baita.

Project situation

This project is a demonstration project of regional railway transformation during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, and it is also the first rail transit line in Zibo. The commencement of this project means that the highly sought-after "Third City of Shandong Rail Transit" has fallen to Zibo, laying a solid foundation for the economic circle of Shandong provincial capital to become bigger and stronger.

After the project is completed, the through train from Zhangdian to Boshan will arrive within half an hour at the earliest. The planned construction time of the project is 2 years, which will greatly save passengers' travel time, improve travel efficiency and shorten the time and space distance between the central city and the southern group. Zibo Zhangdian District and Boshan District will also be integrated to promote the breakthrough development of Zibo. This way of transforming existing railways into regional railways is worth learning from Baoji City.
