How many reservoirs in Jiangxi have dried up due to drought?

The Civil Affairs Department of Jiangxi Province released a message on August 30th that high temperature and lack of rainfall led to the continuous low water level in rivers and lakes and the insufficient water storage in reservoirs. Up to now, 4 1 rivers in Jiangxi province have been cut off and 106 reservoirs have dried up.

In response to the above disasters, the Jiangxi Provincial Disaster Reduction Committee and the Provincial Civil Affairs Department urgently launched the provincial four-level emergency response on the same day, and together with the Provincial Department of Finance, sent two working groups to the hardest hit areas to investigate the nuclear disaster and guide the drought relief work.

The high temperature and lack of rain caused the water level of rivers and lakes to remain low, and the reservoir water storage was insufficient. Severe drought has a negative impact on people's lives, industrial and agricultural production and economic and social development.

Relevant persons from the Civil Affairs Department of Jiangxi Province said that the water supply in Pingxiang City, xiangdong district City, Shangli County and Wanzai County of Yichun City is tight, and some township people have difficulty drinking water. Some crops, such as rice, vegetables and fruit industry, have failed to harvest, and the drought situation is more severe.
