Chapter I General Provisions Article 1 In order to further strengthen and develop meteorological undertakings, continuously improve their benefits and better serve the overall goal of China's socialist economic construction and development, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with the guidelines of meteorological work. Article 2 Protecting the people and serving the socialist construction is the purpose of meteorological work and the duty of all meteorological workers.
