ankylosing spondylitis

The so-called ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic progressive and independent systemic immune disease. It mainly invades sacroiliac joint, hip joint, intervertebral joint and costal joint, which can be manifested as back, hip and hip pain in the early stage, and finally the disease disabled by spinal rigidity is called ankylosing spondylitis. Ankylosing spondylitis is called "turtle leeward", "bamboo joint wind", "rickets" and "bone arthralgia" in traditional Chinese medicine. The etiology of ankylosing spondylitis is deficiency of body yang, yin deficiency of liver and kidney, obstruction of du meridian, and the three evils of wind, cold and dampness are mutually causal, which makes the disease happen.

The main manifestations of ankylosing spondylitis:

This disease is more common in young men, and the incidence is mostly occult. In the early stage, it can be manifested as distal joint pain, which gradually develops into intermittent dull pain in buttocks, buttocks and lower back, accompanied by stiffness or sciatica. After the course of the disease is delayed for several months or years, persistent pain or even more severe pain may suddenly appear. Patients often feel stiff in the morning, and their symptoms will get worse when the weather is cold and humid, tired and cold.

Some patients may have iriditis with unknown causes, general fatigue, anorexia, weight loss and low fever.

Ankylosing spondylitis is most seriously affected by spinal joints, but it can also affect any joints in the whole body and form arthritis.

1 sacroiliitis: it is the first symptom of most patients, mainly manifested as calf pain and thigh root pain radiating to one or both hips and occasionally to the thigh.

2. Lumbar arthritis: mostly manifested as back pain and discomfort and dyskinesia. During physical examination, there may be direct tenderness of lumbar facet joints, obvious spasm of paraspinal muscles, straightening or bending of lumbar spine, and lumbar spondylosis may occur if it cannot be straightened.

3. Thoracic arthritis: mainly manifested as upper back pain, thoracic nerve pain, limited chest expansion movement, and obvious pain when inhaling.

4. Cervical arthritis: it is often manifested as the patient's neck is stiff, unable to look down, limited vision, and people turn around, which may be complicated with cervical spondylosis.

5. Peripheral arthritis: manifested as scapulohumeral periarthritis and hip arthritis. The patient may appear "duck step" state and may be complicated with femoral head necrosis.

The above are the common clinical manifestations and signs of ankylosing spondylitis. X-ray and HLA-B27 of sacroiliac joint are the most powerful diagnostic auxiliary examinations. At present, there is no effective treatment in western medicine to stop the progress of the disease. The best medicine is immune preparation, but the side effects are considerable, especially the damage to liver and kidney is obvious. Before the disease is cured, new symptoms are added to the patients, which is undoubtedly worse for the patients.

According to the different syndromes, symptoms and manifestations of ankylosing spondylitis, Huang, a famous pain specialist in Henan Province, used traditional Chinese medicine (pills) to treat different patients based on syndrome differentiation. After one or two courses of treatment, the symptoms of patients with ankylosing spondylitis were controlled, the pain was relieved, and the condition was obviously improved. After four or five courses of treatment (half a year), the patient can achieve clinical cure.
