Under the leadership of the municipal party committee, the municipal government and the superior authorities, all cadres and workers of our bureau conscientiously implement the deployment and requirements of the municipal party committee and government, effectively perform their work responsibilities, and actively contribute to the development of our city’s agriculture and rural economy. We have done a lot of meteorological service work for development, disaster prevention and reduction, and have achieved certain results. A brief summary is as follows:

1. Provide meteorological services around agriculture and strengthen disastrous weather monitoring and forecasting services

Our city is experiencing meteorological disasters such as heavy rain, strong winds, frost, and typhoons. In areas where disasters occur frequently, various disastrous weather directly threatens the safety of lives and property of thousands of households. The meteorological service work of our bureau is guided by the "Three Represents" thinking and firmly establishes the service idea of ??"never relax throughout the year and never let go of every process". Every time it is detected that disastrous weather (such as heavy rainfall, etc.) will affect our city, our bureau will report to the municipal party committee, municipal government, relevant leaders, and relevant departments in advance, and issue disastrous weather forecasts through TV stations, radio stations, mobile phone text messages, etc. Remind people to prepare their defenses. For example, if there is disastrous weather that meets the standards for issuing early warning signals, we will also issue early warning signals through TV stations in a timely manner.

2. Strengthen the management of lightning protection and disaster reduction

According to the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Meteorological Regulations" and the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Management Measures for Lightning Disaster Prevention", we are doing a good job in the prevention and control of new houses. In addition to administrative licensing such as design review and completion acceptance, we also conduct inspections on various buildings (structures), production and storage sites for petroleum, chemicals, flammable and explosive substances, and densely populated public places. Among them, petroleum, chemical industry, production and storage sites of flammable and explosive substances and densely populated public places will be inspected once every six months, and unqualified lightning protection facilities will be ordered to rectify to ensure safe production.

3. Do a thorough job in ground meteorological observation work

Ground meteorological observation work is the most basic work of meteorological work. Meteorological observation data reflects the current weather conditions and weather development trends. It provides basic meteorological data for weather forecasting and also provides valuable historical data for future generations to study meteorology. Therefore, every observer takes every meteorological data seriously. In the first half of the year, mistakes were eliminated in the forecasting and reporting work, and the tasks assigned by superiors were successfully completed.

IV. Do a good job in artificial rainfall enhancement

In the first half of the year, our city experienced consecutive droughts in autumn, winter and spring. Our bureau vigorously organized and carried out artificial rainfall enhancement operations, and carried out multiple rainfall enhancement operations, which effectively alleviated the drought.
