What does Jiujiu Song mean?
This "99 Song" is the "99 Cold-resistant Song" which is widely circulated in winter. This is a folk proverb of China.
This song vividly records the changes of climate and phenology between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox, and also expresses some laws of agricultural activities.
The lyrics are:
If you don't do this in 1929,
Walking on the ice in 3949,
Look at the willows in 5969,
79 rivers opened and 89 geese came.
