SARS was controlled in a short time 20 years ago, but now it has lasted for three years in COVID-19. When will it end?

Why did SARS suddenly disappear? First of all, because the epidemic prevention and control in China is very good, patients and close contacts have been effectively isolated, blocking the spread of the virus from person to person.

Secondly, due to the limitations of the virus itself and the high lethality and pathogenicity of SARS virus, its spread has been affected to some extent. Moreover, the SARS virus itself has the property of "being afraid of heat", so the living environment of the virus becomes worse and more difficult to survive after the weather gets hot.

COVID-19 has been going on for three years. When will it end? Some American experts have predicted that the COVID-19 epidemic will end in 2023 and be solved by 2024 at the latest; British experts believe that the epidemic will end in 2022 or 2023. If the epidemic continues in this state, it may not be completely eliminated until 2026.

Different experts have different opinions, but this is only a prediction. It is difficult to determine the end time of the COVID-19 epidemic. Experts from the China Municipal Commission of Health and Wellness suggested that four conditions must be met if the epidemic is to end.

First of all, the ability of virus mutation is weakened, so the ability of virus transmission will be reduced;

Second, the vaccine we studied can prevent COVID-19 infection more effectively, making our antibody the best weapon against the virus;

The third is the emergence of a specific drug, which can better block the invasion of the virus than our current effective drugs;

Fourth, it can improve the epidemic situation in other countries in the world. In this case, China's external defense pressure will also be reduced. While doing a good job in its own epidemic prevention and control, it will reduce the chances of importing viruses from abroad.

These conditions are simple to say, but very difficult to implement. At present, the frequency of virus mutation is getting faster and faster, and the infectivity of mutant strains is also increasing, with no weakening trend. Moreover, although most people in China are vaccinated now, there are still some people who cannot be vaccinated or have been vaccinated for personal reasons.

In addition, the specific drugs are still in the research stage, and it is really unknown when they will appear, so these conditions are basically impossible to meet now.

Most importantly, many countries are now "lying flat" in front of COVID-19, claiming to save the virus. This method of dealing with the virus is really ridiculous. If their epidemic prevention and control measures are not in place, COVID-19 will wreak havoc on the earth forever.
