Nanchang, with subtropical humid monsoon climate, is located in north-central Jiangxi, downstream of Ganjiang River and Fuhe River, and southwest of Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. Nanchang area is characterized by short spring and autumn and long summer and winter. Although the four seasons are different in length, the seasonal characteristics are obvious: warm and humid in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool and dry in autumn and cold and little rain in winter. The average annual temperature over the years is between 17 ~ 18℃, and the temperature difference between winter and summer is large. The extreme maximum temperature in summer can reach above 40℃, and the extreme minimum temperature in winter is-10℃. The average annual rainfall over the years is about 1600 mm, but the precipitation is unevenly distributed during the year, and the rainfall from April to June in the flood season accounts for about half of the annual precipitation.
