Hallstatt, Austria: Postcards from Heaven

"Austrian paradise town", "Austria's most beautiful town", "the world's most beautiful town", "the place where people love to punch cards" and "the town with the most sunshine value" are all people's praises for Hallstatt, an Austrian town! Hallstatt is the "ceiling" of almost all the towns I have been to! It is also one of my favorite towns.

Before arriving in Hallstatt for dozens of kilometers, the roads were almost narrow mountain roads, and the road conditions were not very good, which made me wonder if I had navigated wrong. I didn't know until I arrived that the fairyland was hidden in a deep mountain canyon, and "the infinite scenery is at the dangerous peak"!

Hallstatt is located in Salzkammergut, the oldest town in Austria. Located between the Alps and surrounded by mountains, it is a beautiful town with lakes and mountains. 7000 years ago, ancient ancestors engaged in salt mining activities in mountainous areas, which brought great wealth to the town. Therefore, the town is also known as "the oldest salt capital in the world". Now, in the museum in the center of the town, you can still see clothes and salt mining tools excavated from the original salt mine, daily necessities of the Iron Age and the earliest steamboat model.

Salz Wirten is a salt mine recognized by UNESCO in Hallstatt. Its history can be traced back to prehistoric times, even as early as 4000 BC. This mountain was formed by evaporation of seawater more than 250 million years ago, and rich salt deposits brought great wealth to this small town.

In this lakeside town standing between a steep hillside and a jewel-like emerald lake, fairy-tale beautiful houses can be seen everywhere.

We arrived around two o'clock in the afternoon, when the weather was not very good and we were a little disappointed! But the hotel I booked is in a good location, right by the lake. Pushing the window to see the lake, looking at the smoke on the lake in the distance, is like a fairyland on earth.

After a short rest, we can't wait to go out for a walk. An hour later, the sky suddenly cleared up, making the town suddenly look very charming.

The town is small, with only one main street! Fifteen minutes can walk very fast, but it takes a little time to savor it.

Lake Hallstatt is naturally the first place to go.

Lake Hallstatt is the most spiritual of the 65,438+04 lakes in Salzkammergut, Austria. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the surrounding peaks with an altitude of more than 3000 meters form the natural barrier of the lake, just like a paradise on earth, which makes people linger.

This lake was formed by glaciation. The lake is crystal clear, and the deepest part can reach125m. The lakeshore is a fairytale-like and colorful house surrounded by towering green hills.

Of course, the most interesting thing in the town is these wooden buildings built by the lake, which are layered and patchwork. These cabins have a history of hundreds of years, but after renovation and painting, they are not only exquisite and beautiful, but also add a little historical charm. Here, you can find traces from Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque to modern architecture. In order to distinguish local residents from other families, every household will paint different colors on the roof and exterior walls as their "identity cards", which are particularly eye-catching in the sun. In particular, bright red and yellow depict the architecture of Austrian towns in the16th century.

Stepping into the town of Hallstatt, it seems that a musical may break out at any time. In spring and summer, flower boxes hang windows in geraniums and ivy; The cobblestone streets connect charming cafes, gorgeous churches and alpine hotels. Natural wonders are everywhere-from the nearby Salzkammergut Mountain to Lake Hallstatt, and then to the village's own small waterfall.

The center of the town is called "Market Square" by local people. A sculpture of a worker carrying a barreled salt mine in the center of the square seems to tell tourists about the history of salt making here and is also a mascot that brings wealth to the town!

The development of salt mining industry promoted the prosperity of local economy, and also provided a lot of financial income for the royal family in Vienna. The beautiful environment and developed economy here have also attracted many romantic painters, artists, poets and composers, thus leaving a large number of high-quality architectural and artistic relics. The Catholic Church established in the center of the town in 748 AD, the Church of Jesus established in 1320 and many museums are classic representatives.

"Hallstatt has many unique ice caves and a wide variety of animals and plants, so it was listed as a world cultural heritage in 1997. This is the only area recognized as having cultural and natural environmental heritage except Eier Rock in Australia and Philippine Islands. This fairyland-like town, surrounded by clear lakes and mountains, attracts tourists from all over the world and becomes a popular tourist attraction.

In 2006, when it appeared on Korean TV programs, it was very popular among East Asian tourists.

Situated between a steep hillside and a jewel-like emerald lake, this lakeside town is famous for its beautiful natural scenery. The postcard sent by just like heaven is a classic endorsement of Austrian tourism and a textbook of small town scenery in Europe.

You can rent a boat for 20 euros and see the town from the lake. The green mountains and green waters set off the ancient buildings, which is even more amorous feelings.

Walking in the town, wild cats on the roadside, swans in the lake, ducks, waterfowl, birds on the house and so on. The nature that people and animals live in harmony is vividly displayed by the town. It's really beautiful!

The flowerpots made of old leather boots picked up by the roadside are hung on the iron railings in a patchwork way, which is very artistic in life.

I was hungry after shopping in the afternoon, so I chose a restaurant by the lake for dinner. The boss can speak a few Chinese! It can be seen that there are many people from China here at ordinary times! We chose the local specialty: grilled fish, not for anything else, just because it was fished out of the lake! As the weather is fine, we can sit on the outdoor dining table and enjoy the scenery while eating! There is nothing more enjoyable than this. Their grilled fish practice is also simple and rude, aiming to keep the original flavor of the lake fish!

Hallstatt people's "hobby" is wooden products that can be seen everywhere in long and narrow towns, using wood as a wooden sign to guide tourists; Use wood as a road sign to tell you that the hotel in front of you is your dream, and wood carvings on other buildings are not uncommon. Hallstatts seem to be artists. They can carve beautiful decorations out of wood.

Hallstatt likes wood for a reason. It is said that thousands of years ago, the hallstatt family mined living platinum mountain salt here. Salt miners climb hundreds of meters from the foot of the mountain every day, and then slide down to the bottom of the deep salt mine to work. What protects them is the "wooden slide". In the square of the town, a statue of a salt miner carrying a big wooden salt bucket seems to tell tourists the legend of wooden salt.

Although the population of this town is only over 1000, the number of tourists it receives every year is amazing. For example, in 2065,438+08, it received 654.38+00 million tourists-the number of tourists per capita is 347 times that of Hong Kong, one of the most visited cities in the world! There is almost no off-season and peak season for tourism in the town, and it is crowded all year round! Therefore, almost every family in the town is an inn and every family is a restaurant. According to local people, sometimes tourists during the day will drive away those who have stayed for a long time because they have occupied the hotel for too long! New tourists can't live in it at all! So many travel companies can only bring tourists here, let them take some photos and leave quickly!

Few people spend the night in these magical environments, so at night, you have the most things. Cities and lakes are shrouded in a unique atmosphere.

It should be said that we are very lucky to stay in town for one night during the tourist season! You can enjoy night and morning in town!

After dinner, we continued to wander around the town and watched live performances by local musicians in the church. Austria deserves to be the hometown of music, and everyone can sing and dance! Although I didn't understand it, I was still infected by their performance!

After that, we climbed the Hallstatt Catholic Church in the town. This magnificent Gothic altar was designed by the famous Austrian artist Lien Hartastol in the early1500s. The artworks in the church are so precious that in the late1980s, a tourist couple secretly took a painting home. After decades of investigation, this work of art was finally found and restored in the summer of 20 18. From Church Hill, you can overlook the town of Hallstatt: churches, streets, shops, floating population, colorful lights and a somewhat mysterious lake! The charming town let us wander until after ten o'clock at night before dragging our tired bodies back to sleep! The next morning, it was raining lightly. I got up in the morning and ran around the town. Run to the end of the main street, where there is a small observation deck specially built for tourists. This is a postcard of a small town. Many postcards of small towns were taken from here! I also took my own satisfactory "Mingxin Film"!

Because it has just rained, the morning fog is a bit thick, which makes this town full of fairy tales. This scene reminds me of the town of Xiawan in Norway, which is somewhat similar! Tourists come from all over the world and rush to all parts of the world with their town postcards to share the beauty of the town with the world and let the world know that there is such a paradise-like town in Austria. It is a famous postcard sent by God from heaven, and it also has a poetic name: hallstatt! The most beautiful village in the world! The most beautiful town in the world!
