What do you do when you see a stray cat in the street?

I don't remember my life before I got a cat. It seems like a lifetime ago. At that time, you didn't have to wipe the floor every day, you could wear black clothes, you wouldn't fall asleep and pick up cat litter from the bed, and you didn't have to force guests wearing black clothes to come in and take off their pants.

Also, my favorite season at that time was the winter when it was snowing all over the sky. Every time I have a cat in the late autumn, I can't help but start to feel depressed. I am afraid to see the leaves turn yellow and fall day by day, and I am afraid to hear the weather forecast that it will cool down. Winter has become my most annoying season.

It no longer represents fantasy and romance, but vagrancy and death.

If you love cats, you are full of cats. Not only can you accurately capture the figures wandering in endless streets and lanes, but you can also easily walk into their world and blend into their lives.

Although there is no Levin in that world, that life is wandering.

You can hear their happy grunts when they comb their hair in the sun after eating and drinking enough; You can see their fear and inferiority when they are chased and scolded by passers-by; You can feel their forbearance and helplessness when they bow their proud heads at the door of the steamed stuffed bun shop and lick the steamed stuffed bun trampled by pedestrians. You can even meet cheering excited children who sneak up on the snowman and eat the carrot nose after they leave.

When there are stray cats in your eyes, you will find that the world has changed. The sun is getting less and less, and there are many dark corners. Looking around, there is sadness everywhere.

I always tell myself that this is the survival law of nature and the cycle of survival of the fittest. I told myself that they have natural fur and they are not afraid of cold. However, whenever the temperature drops in late autumn before heating, the cats at home will hide under the covers all day and curl up into a ball, so I can't help but think of the garbage dump passing by after work and the stray cats lying on the hot takeaway box. Think of me as a hungry but frightened stray cat, and meow in the distance after I throw the imported canned food that my cat dislikes downstairs. The weak body was almost blown down by the wind, but it was difficult to leave.

Why should we blame the cruelty and injustice of nature, the endless flow of vehicles and the fast and indifferent pace of city people? This is not the nature where they should live, and the city should not belong to them.

They were domesticated, they abandoned their "wildness" and became docile. They gave up the ability of self-protection, tried to live in harmony with human beings, and even were brought into their families, so they were named "companion animals". They are endowed with emotional sustenance and shoulder the mission of "affection" and "companionship". This is not their choice, but the demanding of human beings.

So they appear in cities and in our lives.

And all their efforts have not been rewarded by the same emotional value of human beings, and they have not been sincerely accepted by this city. In order to meet the aesthetic requirements of human beings, they reproduce at will, abandon at will, wander irresponsibly and get lost, making them homeless and have nowhere to go.

They can't escape from the city, and they hurt people by driving. This is the "stray cat".

If their birth is a natural law, there will be more and more stray cats in cities, and the troubles and disgust of many "civilized people" will cause ecological imbalance, environmental pollution and disrupt life. Who will pay the bill?

Isn't this part of the whole social responsibility?

We also have such a group of people around us. They protect the wandering life of this city by their own efforts. They take part of their income every month, take them to sterilization, treatment, build shelter and send them daily meals.

For decades, they have shuttled through the streets and lanes, experiencing hardships and hardships, just for the stray cats waiting in the dark, just to send more food and clothing and support a sunny day in their short and difficult wandering life. It's just that for these hairy children who may have had a family and were deeply loved by their families, they will not be so lonely and helpless for the rest of their lives.

No years are calm, but someone bears a heavy burden for you. I don't think this can be defined by a simple and shallow reason to "like" cats. This is the brightest human nature-responsibility, compassion and love.

Each of us is weak. We always avoid too much negative energy and reject the fact that there is still darkness in this world. We dare not pick up the dying stray animals on the roadside, or even give a bite to the kitten that follows us step by step in the dark. We are afraid of taking responsibility and dependence.

But we can try to help those volunteers who struggle in the front line all the year round. Giving love while walking, a bowl of food, a support, even a strange greeting and a distant understanding will be the warmth between them, which is what they want most in their hearts.

If there is resentment in your heart, it is better to change this unbearable world. If there is love in your heart, then bravely embrace the TAs you love.

Every time you lend a helping hand, you are voting for the world you want. Small efforts make great love. The meager strength, together, is the brave and strong world of street children.

With Levin in my heart, I am not afraid of wandering. May we be together and the faint light in our hands become the brightest sun in the hearts of street children.

I have forgotten my life before I got a cat. I don't want to look back, because I can't live without them now. It is not that we are saving them, but that they are healing my heart with their hairy bodies and wet noses.
