Why is the smog in Kashgar out of the chart?

There are two main reasons why the smog in Kashgar is unattainable:

1. Dust and pollutants from coal combustion are the main reasons. Sandstorms in spring and summer are the biggest pollution sources, including industrial pollution from power plants, metallurgy, cement, lime kilns and brick kilns, as well as dust caused by automobile exhaust, urban heating, household coal burning, construction sites and surface vegetation destruction, which are also the serious reasons for smog.

2. Terrain and weather conditions also play an important role. The terrain and weather conditions in Kashgar, as well as the southeast, southwest and southerly winds in the surrounding areas, will send pollutants to Beijing, which is also the reason for the frequent occurrence of severe haze weather in autumn and winter in Kashgar.

In order to reduce smog, measures should be taken to reduce pollution sources, such as improving industrial combustion methods, reducing the use of cars, improving urban heating methods and increasing vegetation coverage. At the same time, the government also needs to strengthen supervision to ensure the implementation of environmental protection policies.
