Jiuzhaigou is located in Zhangzha Town, Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, south of Minshan Mountain in northwest Sichuan. It is a large branch ditch at the source of Baishui River in the upper reaches of Jialing River in the Yangtze River system, with a drainage area of 65 1.34km, named after nine Tibetan villages, including Shuzheng, Heye and Zechawa. The average annual temperature in Jiuzhaigou is 6- 14℃, with no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. The scenery of the four seasons is different: the trees are green and colorful in midsummer, the lakes and mountains are quiet in midsummer, the mountains are dyed in autumn, and the ice and snow are natural in winter. It is famous for its green lake, waterfalls, colorful forests, snow peaks, Tibetan feelings and Lan Bing's "six wonders".

Sichuan Weather Forecast Sichuan Meteorological Observatory released the weather forecast at 7: 30 on August 18, 2020: It is estimated that the main rainfall areas from day to night today are: Bazhong, Dazhou, eastern Guangyuan and northern Nanchong with moderate to heavy rain and local heavy rain; There is moderate rain in parts of southern Ganzi Prefecture and Panxi area, with local heavy rain to heavy rain.

The real-time monitoring by Sichuan Meteorological Observatory showed that from 20: 00 on August 17 to 7: 00 on August 18, heavy rainfall mainly occurred in Ya 'an, Meishan, Leshan, Chengdu, Guangyuan, Mianyang East, Deyang, Bazhong, Suining, Yibin West and Xuan Ying, with 584 stations of heavy rain, 339 stations of heavy rain and 65433 torrential rains.
