Festival characteristics

According to legend, King Lei is the fairy who is in charge of lightning and wind and rain. In mid-June, the weather was hot, and people were afraid of drought and poor harvest. On the second day of the sixth lunar month, they slaughter cows and pigs to offer sacrifices to Lei, praying for Lei's blessing in good weather, abundant crops and healthy people and animals.
