The Development of Yi Baishi Airport

Yi Baishi Airport is located at 23 places in the southwest of Chongqing, 25 kilometers away from the center of Chongqing.

In the 27th year of the Republic of China (1 938), on May1day, the Sichuan provincial government ordered the Yongchuan Administrative Supervision District Commissioner's Office and the Air Station to be responsible for the investigation and construction of Zishiyi Airport. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the airport was dual-use. In the 38th year of the Republic of China (1949) and in June of 12, the "two airlines" were ordered to start renovating the Yi Baishi airport. In order to avoid affecting navigation as much as possible, the project is divided into two steps. First, AVIC and China Airlines renovated the tarmac and taxiway by themselves, in which the tarmac is100ft×100ft cement concrete pavement.

After Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport 199 1 was put into use, it was stopped for civilian use and changed back to a military airport.
