The story of typo
Out of professional habit, I can't help telling the news to my classmates.
I usually have a pair of picky eyes when correcting homework. I often ask students to try not to write typos in dictation, try to be all right and try not to make mistakes. However, one in ten children can meet my requirements, which is already a high proportion. Indeed, judging from the degree of knowledge, understanding and habit formation, these children still have a process of progress. From elementary school to junior high school, the teachers I met were very strict. So even if my teacher corrects homework in a hurry and some typos are not approved, I have the habit of correcting them when I find them. Until now, I will stubbornly explain my point of view to students: if there are two papers with the same score, one is because there are many typos but the deduction is ignored, and the other is the real exam score. The same score, different gold content. I hope my students can pay attention to this detail, so as to truly reflect the quality of a China person.
As a basic educator, do you also want to lay a good foundation for students? Why does the direction of education deviate from these familiar goals? When it comes to some new ideas of teaching reform, it is extremely left-right and overcorrected, which leads us to almost go back and pick up the good side of previous education. One of the key points is that we have been walking and we are fluttering. How can we forget to keep our feet on the ground? The proliferation of typos has something to do with such a vain educational situation. This practice in Guangdong is to guide the Chinese teaching behavior in the whole province from the direction. Every teacher who directly deals with students must not forget to tell students that knowledge and talent cannot be vain!
In order to prevent these "virtual", we must first have the correct decision of the education management department. Because many teachers' behavior comes from the traction of the system, they rush to the place pointed by the "baton". Secondly, nowadays students have fewer and fewer opportunities to write with pens, and most of the time they use computer typing instead. Because computers are so "smart", you can often jump out of the words you need by typing "Pinyin Abbreviations". Another reason is that reading habits have changed. Nowadays, students seldom read aloud, but in the eyes of many teachers, reading aloud is not only a good way to strengthen memory, but also helps to deepen the image cognition of words. This requires teachers to guide students to choose appropriate language expression tools and master correct language acquisition reading methods in teaching. When students do their homework, they should talk more and emphasize their earnest attitude and their interest.
And the biggest spokesperson for typos is network language. With the popularity of the Internet and the vigorous development of network language, the problems existing in network language have also attracted the attention of relevant personnel. In the face of the proliferation and disorderly use of network language, our relevant cultural departments should also standardize the use requirements of network language. We should allow the use of some new words that conform to the modern Chinese vocabulary and grammar norms, especially the technical terms in information technology. Some network words should be regarded as the expansion and extension of modern Chinese. Even if it appears in the composition of the college entrance examination, it is not the fault of the candidates. Don't label these words as "wrong" easily. Fourthly, idioms tampered with by advertisements are also representatives of other words. Some classic idioms have been tampered with beyond recognition. A few days ago, I read some magazines with some interesting idioms and new explanations. I couldn't help laughing after reading it, but I'm worried that children who haven't been exposed to this idiom will confuse its meaning. I hope my child has a clear head!
It's just that this kind of "hope" is too pale and powerless for children to accumulate knowledge and inherit national culture! Every Chinese educator should be duty-bound to stand up and declare war on typos!
Three stories about typos (July 20, 2006: 14: 1 1)
There was a plot in a novel I saw on Sina Reading Channel the other day: he (the hero) had never been to the poverty relief office, but he decided to try it. Come to the floor where the poverty alleviation office is located. He looked at the sign at the door of each room and searched all the way. When he finally saw the sign of the poverty relief office, he didn't knock at the door, but stared at the sign at the door, because he found that the words written on it turned out to be "Helping the Corruption Office". Afraid that he made a mistake, he read it carefully again. Yes, it is to help corrupt elements. He knocked at the door and showed the words on the sign to a cadre-like person who came out to open the door. People who look like cadres are not sure, so look them up in the dictionary. After inspection, they confirmed that the words on this long-standing brand were really "helping corrupt people".
This plot reminds me of the half-page mobile phone advertisement made by a communication company in the last edition of Youth Daily a few days ago. There are more than a dozen mobile phone patterns on it, and the words 60% off and 70% off are written next to the patterns. But at first glance, I always feel as if something is wrong. Looking at it carefully, I can't help being heartless. It turns out that these "folds" are written as "demolition". 60% off, 30% off, so it's six demolition, seven demolition. It is said that the hotline of Youth Daily is almost bursting, and 90% people have reported these typos to the newspaper.
Another similar situation happened two years ago, when a typo appeared on the front page of the Beijing Times. This position is generally not advertised in Jinghua Times. But the weather forecast for that day was released. On the wrong day, the weather forecast of "the south wind turns to the north wind" turned out to be "the male wind turns to the north wind", although the font is very small. But because it is a weather forecast, many people read the weather forecast first after getting the newspaper, and it is on the front page. So the hotline of the Beijing Times hardly exploded that day.
These may all be caused by computers, so you should check it several times when writing important things in the future. Otherwise, there may be jokes.
