Did Zhao Zhongxiang die of lung cancer?
Zhao Fang said in the article that Zhao Zhongxiang died of illness in Beijing at 7: 30 on June 6, 65438+ at the age of 78.
/kloc-At the end of 0/9, Zhao Zhongxiang's physical condition gradually deteriorated, and he was finally diagnosed with advanced cancer with systemic metastasis. Not long ago, it was rumored that Zhao Zhongxiang had passed away, but at that time, Zhao Zhongxiang made a rumor. Although terminally ill, Zhao Zhongxiang has been actively cooperating with the treatment. Zhao Fang also mentioned that Zhao Zhongxiang highly respects and thanks the medical staff.
As a former CCTV announcer and host, Zhao Zhongxiang is well known to the people all over the country for his long-term hosting of CCTV Spring Festival Evening, Animal World, Man and Nature and other national programs.
After retirement, Zhao Zhongxiang turned his attention to his hobby of painting and calligraphy, and also participated in some variety shows from time to time. Last February, Zhao Zhongxiang and his old partner Ni Ping also participated in the recording of The Sound Around. Although he was old at that time, his mental outlook was still very good.
For cancer, if it is found early, it can be treated by surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other means, and a certain survival period can be obtained.
After Zhao Zhongxiang's death, some media reported that he died because of the systemic metastasis of squamous cell carcinoma in an organ. According to a friend's description, Zhao Zhongxiang went to the hospital at the end of 19 because of leg discomfort. During the examination, he found that lung cancer complicated with multiple metastases all over the body.
Less than two months after the discovery, his condition deteriorated rapidly. Seven days before his death, he was in a coma.
What is lung squamous cell carcinoma?
Lung cancer has long been the first malignant tumor on the cancer mortality list. According to the statistics of the National Cancer Center, the incidence and death of lung cancer in China have been at the top of malignant tumors since 10, with about 787,000 new cases of lung cancer every year and about 63 1 10,000 deaths due to lung cancer.
The proportion of the top ten cancers
On February 5, 20 19, 19, a 33-year-old player of CBA Beijing Shougang team died of advanced lung cancer, and Guo recently rested because of lung nodules. Lung cancer is a nightmare for anyone.
According to the morphological differences of cancer cells under the microscope, lung cancer can be roughly divided into small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Non-small cell lung cancer is divided into:
1. Squamous cell carcinoma: The tumor originated from squamous cells, which are thin and flat cells that look like fish scales. This is also called epithelioid carcinoma.
2. Large cell carcinoma: Tumors originate from many types of large cells.
3. Adenocarcinoma: Tumors originate from cells along the alveolar wall, which can secrete some substances, such as mucus.
4. Other uncommon non-small cell lung cancer, such as pleomorphic carcinoma, carcinoid, salivary gland adenocarcinoma and unclassified tumor.
These lung cancer classifications may sound awkward, but as ordinary people, they don't need to remember, because classification and naming are based on observation under a microscope.
Why is lung cancer progressing so fast?
The lung is an organ that communicates directly with the air. It can be said that what the skin touches, what the lungs will touch. But the lungs are much more fragile than the skin.
But we can't completely blame our lungs, because people can't live without air for a moment, and the lungs need to keep running. If the nasal cavity, mouth and trachea do not filter out some harmful substances first, our lungs will bear more pressure.
Our fragile lungs bear a huge workload, and if we encounter the following risk factors, we may increase the risk of lung cancer.
1. Inhalation of tobacco products is the first risk factor for lung cancer. Whether it's e-cigarettes, cigars or best-selling filter-tip cigarettes. People who used to smoke or kept smoking habits are more likely to get lung cancer than non-smokers. Secondhand smoke also has the risk of lung cancer. It is reported that Zhao Zhongxiang has been smoking for many years. Although he has given up smoking for many years, lung cancer still bothers him.
2. Industrial poisons are also high risk factors for lung cancer, such as asbestos, nickel, chromium and radon.
3. Genetic factors are risk factors that cannot be ignored. People in their families or parents with a history of lung cancer need to be alert to the occurrence of lung cancer.
Air pollution, such as smog, has been proved to be a high risk factor for lung cancer.
5. Kitchen fumes. With the increase of female lung cancer patients year by year, people began to pay attention to this easily overlooked factor. Women who don't smoke are likely to get lung cancer because of the long-term pollution of kitchen fumes.
6. Other infectious diseases, such as AIDS, can induce lung cancer.
The five-year survival rate of lung cancer is about 19%, that is to say, within five years after the diagnosis of lung cancer, 8 100 people will die. The reason of high cancer mortality and low five-year survival rate is that the early symptoms of lung cancer are often not obvious, and many people ignore the early detection and treatment of lung cancer, as well as the limitations of screening and treatment techniques.
Small cell lung cancer is considered as the most malignant lung cancer, while squamous cell carcinoma is much less malignant. Early operation can achieve better therapeutic effect.
It is reported that Zhao Zhongxiang had discovered lung lesions three years ago, when he had a biopsy and was diagnosed as benign, so Zhao Zhongxiang let his guard down. It is said that he felt uncomfortable with needle aspiration biopsy, so he refused all re-examinations for the next three years until he felt uncomfortable at the end of last year.
What are the early symptoms of lung cancer?
A 32-year-old colleague recently developed shortness of breath and cough. As a clinician, he is still sensitive to diseases, so he chose to have a chest CT examination. After the results came out, his heart still thumped. The report suggested that it was a small nodule in the lung, about 2cm. Finally, surgery was performed, and the pathological results also suggested lung cancer.
As can be seen from this case, the common early manifestations of lung cancer are cough or chest tightness and shortness of breath, which can remind people of the lungs. However, because a cold can also cause cough, many people tend to ignore that it is a manifestation of lung cancer.
There are many early lung cancers without any symptoms, and it is difficult for us to catch them except for physical examination. But the following symptoms suggest a physical examination.
Cough lasts for several weeks or the symptoms of previous cough are obviously aggravated.
There is blood in the sputum, and it is often bright red blood.
Suddenly hoarse.
Abnormal shortness of breath, especially when it lasts for several weeks without changing or getting worse.
New persistent chest pain, which did not improve or gradually worsened after several weeks; Or chronic chest pain suddenly worsened in the past.
The new body is weak and unable to complete daily work and life.
Losing weight without a planned diet or weight loss for no reason is particularly noteworthy, especially when the weight loss exceeds 15kg within three months, which often indicates the occurrence of malignant tumors.
What examination can detect lung cancer?
As a doctor, it is very important to collect detailed medical history if you encounter patients with the above symptoms. For example, those high-risk factors mentioned above-whether the patient smokes, how the working environment is, whether he has been exposed to kitchen fumes for a long time, whether his close relatives have a history of cancer and so on.
Next, if the symptoms and medical history point to lung cancer, the easiest way to check is to have a chest X-ray. However, it is difficult to distinguish smaller cancers under chest radiograph, and further examination is to do plain or enhanced lung CT scanning.
The gold standard for the diagnosis of lung cancer must be to obtain cancerous tissue cells, so puncture biopsy is often used to diagnose lung cancer. That is, under the guidance of CT, the doctor punctured the tumor with a special puncture needle, and then took out the specimen and observed it under the microscope.
However, the limitation of lung biopsy is that it is difficult to operate and it is not easy to penetrate the tumor, or it is not cancer cells that are taken out after penetrating the tumor. Therefore, in the case of difficult diagnosis, it is necessary to remove the tumor by surgery and detect it when necessary. The minimally invasive method is thoracoscopic surgery.
Of course, there are more auxiliary means, such as finding tumor cells through sputum, looking at central lung cancer through fiberoptic bronchoscope, detecting blood tumor markers and so on.
It should be emphasized that the simplest and most efficient method for lung cancer screening is low-dose spiral CT scanning.
How to prevent lung cancer?
There are many high-risk factors mentioned above, and preventive measures can be taken according to those high-risk factors.
For example, don't smoke, quit any form of tobacco and stay away from second-hand smoke.
Wear a mask to travel or reduce travel in weather with serious air pollution.
Improve the kitchen environment and reduce the inhalation of kitchen fumes.
There are also some dietary and lifestyle adjustments: proper exercise, weight control, eating vegetables frequently, avoiding vitamin abuse (β-carotene will increase the risk of lung cancer), and controlling drinking.
Many people are afraid of cancer. In fact, an optimistic attitude has a good effect on treatment. Even in the face of diseases, it is hard for us to avoid them, but we can actively make some changes to get the maximum therapeutic effect.
