What time does the expressway close?
The expressway will be closed in bad weather (rain, snow and fog), major traffic accidents and traffic control. Most roads are closed because the visibility is less than 100 meters due to heavy fog, and it will only be closed on holidays. At this time, the traffic volume is large and traffic accidents cause congestion. Under the following special circumstances, the expressway will be closed:
1, in bad weather, heavy rain, heavy snow, fog, strong wind, etc. ;
2. Serious traffic accidents, cluster accidents where vehicles collide with each other above 10, and tanker accidents carrying inflammable and explosive dangerous goods, etc.
3. Other natural disasters that seriously affect traffic;
When important heads of state pass by, the expressway will be temporarily closed. There are two forms of expressway closure: one is toll station closure, that is, all entrances are closed and vehicles are not allowed to enter, but the main line vehicles can still leave the expressway and are allowed to leave but not allowed to enter; The other is the main line closure, that is, the main line of the expressway is closed in one direction, and vehicles are prohibited from moving forward. In this case, we should obey the arrangement of traffic police and road administration and leave the main line of expressway under their guidance.
Legal basis:
Article 58 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China
When a motor vehicle runs at night without street lamps, poor lighting or in case of fog, rain, snow, dust, hail and other low visibility conditions, it should turn on the headlights, position lights and rear position lights. However, when the rear car driving in the same direction is driving close to the front car, it is not allowed to use the high beam. Motor vehicles should turn on fog lights and danger warning flashlights when driving in foggy days.
Article 59
