The origin of the name of Leigong Town

Leigong Town is an ancient town with a long history. There is a record of "Leigong Store" in the Tang Dynasty, which is located at 17 km west of Fucheng, also known as "Leigong Store" and "Leigong Temple". Leigong Town is located on a high hill. According to legend, in ancient times, lightning often caused human and animal casualties. Some people say that the terrain here is the God of Leigong, so the local people raised funds to build the Leigong Temple and carved the statue of Leigong. Over time, more people came to worship incense, and the business here flourished, forming the present Leigong town.

Another legend: The Jade Emperor had an official, Taibai Venus, who specialized in drafting imperial edicts and publishing Yu Sheng's post. This white Venus is called Li Changgeng. He is resourceful and brilliant, and he is a rare civil servant in the sky. But he is an alcoholic and often gets drunk as a fiddler. One day, the Jade Emperor ordered Taibai Venus to issue an imperial edict to the world, asking the people to have a meal every three days. Who knows that after receiving the imperial edict, he saw that it was still early, so he ran to Guanghan Palace and WU GANG to play chess while drinking. They didn't finish playing a game of chess, but they drank pot after pot of wine, and they were a little drunk unconsciously. In a daze, the sleeve of Taibai Venus brushed off a chessboard. This chess piece fell from the sky, and with a loud noise, it landed 30 miles northwest of Anlu (now the junction of Leigong and Yandian), becoming a towering mountain peak. Due to the huge impact when the chess piece landed, the stones on the ground rolled and the smoke was misty. So people call that place "cigarette shop". The huge impact was caused by a thunderous noise, so people on the other side of the mountain called that place "Leigong", which means Leigong appeared. It was also the "bang" of the chess pieces falling into the lower bound, which awakened more than half of the wine of Taibai Venus. It suddenly occurred to him that the jade emperor ordered him to convey the imperial edict to the world. It's like coming to the worse gate in a hurry, getting drunk and saying to everyone, "The Jade Emperor ordered everyone to eat only three meals a day without any mistakes!" . Later, the Jade Emperor knew that Venus Taibai had misrepresented his purpose because of greed, so he was banished to the mortal world and reincarnated in Jiangyou, Sichuan, and was named Li Bai. One day, a wandering monk came to Anlu cigarette shop and saw the mountain turned into a chess piece illuminated by red light and purple roses. Knowing that it was made by Taibai Venus, it was named "Baizhao Mountain" because of its fairy spirit. Later, Li Bai took a sword trip and came to Baizhao Mountain. He suddenly realized and said with emotion, "The name of the mountain is Baizhao, and Li Bai is coming." He lived in the mountains for ten years. Everyone called Li Bai a "poetic immortal" and thought he was a good poet, so he was called a "fairy". In fact, he is a "fallen fairy", that is, a fairy who was demoted to earth.
