Five mountains return without looking at the mountains, and Ninghe returns without looking at the gorge. In the third phase of the Three Gorges Project, the backwater reached a long life, and more than 500 kilometers of river reservoirs were formed above the dam, with a total area of nearly 1 000 square kilometers. The beautiful scenery of Gaoxia Pinghu has changed the landscape of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. Some natural and human landscapes have been submerged, but some new natural and human landscapes have emerged, with little change on the whole. The construction of the Three Gorges Dam not only has three main functions of flood control, power generation and improving shipping conditions, but also contributes to and benefits human beings, and also opens a new historical chapter for the rapid development of the Three Gorges tourism industry.

There are more than 1000 playful monkeys climbing trees and rocks, more than 100 pairs of mandarin ducks, all kinds of waterfowl spread their wings, and many kinds of fish swim around in the clear water, and birds can be heard at any time. It is a well-deserved scenic animal area. The hanging coffins and boat coffins of Ba people who have been fascinated for a hundred years, and the caves on the ancient plank road are puzzling and precious historical relics. This unique canyon scenery, natural landscape and human landscape are integrated into one, and it is a bright pearl on the golden waterway line of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

Longmen Gorge is 3 kilometers from Longmen Gorge to Yinwotan in the main gorge area. Magnificent. The two mountains are opposite, the cliff is like a cut, and a line is opened to form a door, which is known as "Xiongzai, Longmen Gorge". There are some scenic spots in the canyon, such as the starting point of the longest ancient plank road in China, Longmen Bridge, Longmen Spring, Qingshiweimen, Jiulong Column and Ganoderma Peak. Out of the canyon is the thrilling Yinwotan. Traveling by boat, there is a feeling that "the water is as urgent as an arrow, and the boat flies".

The winter is mild, the summer is hot, the rainfall is abundant, and the four seasons are distinct, which is not much different from the Sichuan Basin and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Wushan Small Three Gorges and Xiaoxiao Three Gorges have narrow rivers, great changes in river flow and large fluctuations in water level. In flood season, the flow rate is generally 40,000 to 50,000 cubic meters per second, and in dry season, the flow rate is generally 3,000 cubic meters per second, and the difference between the highest water level and the lowest water level can reach more than 50 meters.
