When growing vegetables in greenhouses, what should you pay attention to in summer?
Enhance ventilation and lower the shed temperature. When planting oversummer vegetables, in order to avoid high-temperature obstacles to the vegetables in the shed, attention should be paid to opening all the upper and lower air outlets in the shed to allow the cold air outside the shed to form convection with the hot air inside the shed, accelerating the discharge of hot air, thus facilitating the Cool down inside the shed. Vegetable farmers need to be reminded to install a windproof film under the air outlet to prevent cold air from blowing directly onto the surface of vegetables, causing the fruits to peel and crack. At noon in summer, due to the high temperature in the greenhouse, the evaporation of the leaves is large, and the water absorbed by the roots cannot meet the transpiration needs of the vegetables, causing the tomato leaves to roll up. Vegetable farmers can install micro-nozzles to spray in the shed to reduce the temperature inside the shed. It can also increase the air humidity in the shed, prevent vegetable-style stigmas from drying out, promote pollination, and prevent vegetables from falling flowers and fruits.
Covering the shed evenly with mud will block the sun, but don't cover it too thickly just yet. If the sun comes out in the morning and it feels a little dark, it means you have covered it too much. It is best to rinse it with water, then reduce it, and then check whether it has become brighter. If it gets dark, do it again. Be careful not to go deep or shallow, as this may cause the vegetables to grow unevenly. When the sun is strongest at noon and the weather is hottest, it can be significantly cooled and shaded. However, at other times when the light is not too strong, vegetables can be allowed to receive light freely, which is beneficial to growth and development. Coverage is required from 12 am to 3 pm, but each location can decide the time according to the climate. The high temperature in summer is not conducive to the normal growth of vegetables, so an intermittent fallow phase is carried out in the greenhouse. Use this time to build a greenhouse, eliminate pathogens, pests and their eggs in the greenhouse and soil, reduce the concentration of soil solution, and improve the soil structure.
When the room temperature of the greenhouse is higher than 60℃, it can be protected without any drugs for more than a month, thereby eliminating 15-20% of germs, pests and eggs on the surface of the soil. Avoid partial applications of nitrogen fertilizers. The base fertilizer is mainly manure, which has the highest nitrogen content and lower phosphorus and potassium content. The application of organic fertilizers causes excess nitrogen nutrients in the soil before and after planting, or the nitrogen-containing fertilizers are washed away after planting, resulting in excessive plant vegetative growth and affecting reproductive growth. If management is not in place during the high temperature period, seedlings are prone to overgrowth. Once growth is out of control, vegetative growth and reproductive growth are out of balance, and the more you sit still, the more prosperous you will be. Therefore, preventive measures must be taken at an early stage to avoid problems.
