Why is Chongqing so hot?

The Three Gorges Dam contributed to the continuous high temperature in Chongqing.

Almost the only source of low temperature airflow in Chongqing is the natural filling of relatively cold and humid air from rivers. It used to be said that Chongqing, Nanjing and Wuhan are three "stove" cities, and the temperatures in the three cities are similar in summer. Since the construction of the Three Gorges Dam, only Chongqing's summer temperature has risen sharply, even reaching more than 40 degrees, and other "stove" cities have not, which further shows that the influence of the dam on the summer temperature rise in mountain cities is objective. And this situation may become more and more serious. Maybe in the next few years, the temperature will reach above 45 degrees.
